1 c Unsalted softened butter
1/2 c Sifted confectioners' sugar
1 ts Vanilla
2 1/4 c Sifted cake flour
1/4 ts Salt
3/4 c Chopped pecans
Confectioners' sugar
1. Heat oven to 450 degrees. Combine butter, confectioners' sugar and
vanilla in mixing bowl. 2. Sift flour and salt together and gradually stir into butter
mixture. Stir in chopped pecans. 3. Drop by heaping teaspoonsful onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake
until peaks are very light brown, about 7 minutes. Transfer to cooling rack. While still warm (but not hot), use a sifter to sprinkle generously with confectioners' sugar. This 1989 first-place recipe comes from Chris Merrill of Elk Grove Village. The cookies are slightly sweet and very buttery, so they melt in your mouth. from the Chicago Tribune second annual Food Guide Holiday Cookie Contest December 14, 1989 -----

Holiday Peanut Butter Chocolate Meltaways
1 (12-ounce) package white chocolate (or vanilla) baking chips
1 cup (6 ounces) dark chocolate chips (or you can substitute semi-sweet)
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 Tablespoons coconut oil (or you can use shortening)
4 to 5 dozen miniature baking liners or candy cups (it doesn’t hurt to have a little extra!)
assorted decorations, frosting, icing, etc. (optional)
Combine first four ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover and microwave on HIGH
for 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from microwave and stir. Then return to microwave and cook
an additional 30 seconds on high; remove and stir until mixture is smooth.
Separate and arrange empty mini baking liners or candy cups on a clean 10×15″ jelly roll
pan. Pour melted chocolate mixture into the mini liners, filling until almost full
1 cup unsalted butter (at room temperature)
1 cup light brown sugar , packed
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon salt , or 1 tsp kosher salt
1 cup chocolate chips (plus more for tops if desired)
1 cup M&M’s (plus more for tops if desired)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325°F. In a large bowl using a mixer, cream together the butter and sugars for 1 minute. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until combined.
Add the flour, baking soda and salt and stir mixture just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and M&M’s (saving about 1/4 cup for the top).
For thick bars, line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper or foil. For thinner bars, line a 15x10 pan. Leave an over hang for easy removal. Then spray with non-stick spray. Scoop cookie dough into the pan and press down evenly. Then place extra M&M’s and chocolate chips on the top.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is barely golden brown. Allow to cool completely, then remove and slice.

How To Make Valentine's Day Themed Melt & Pour Soap Donuts | Recipe Included!
Hey everyone! This is a quick video about how to make melt and pour Valentine's Day themed soap donuts. These are super easy to make and don't require a ton of skill. To scent these soap donuts I used sugared strawberry cookies fragrance oil from @Naturesgardencandles and I swear the scent reminds me so much of Valentine's Day. The glaze you see for the donuts is just white melt and pour soap and the sprinkles are soap sprinkles. The rubbing alcohol used is to make sure any air bubbles get burst and to help mix the mica color with the soap base better. I also used white melt and pour soap to help glue the 2 halves together once dried although I do like the half look better versus the whole donut look. I made these for at home use so these won't be available on my website and please excuse my cat in the background! He is ALWAYS put up somewhere whenever I'm making anything that I sell or put on my website. See below for the full recipe and supply list! Thanks for watching! #meltandpoursoap #beginnersoapmaking #soapdonuts
