How To make Almond Torte
1 1/4 c Sugar
8 oz Soft almond paste
1 1/4 c Unsalted butter; softened
1 ts Vanilla
6 Eggs; at room temperature
1 c Flour
1 1/2 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
Recipe by: Los Angeles Times - Prodigy In food processor work bowl, process sugar with almond paste until paste is in small pieces. Add butter and vanilla and continue processing until mixture is smooth. Add eggs, 1 by 1, mixing until each is incorporated, then process until mixture is light and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes. In small work bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Sprinkle over butter mixture and process in 2 or 3 short bursts, just until flour mixes in well. Butter and flour 9-inch springform pan or 9x5-inch loaf pan and pour in batter, smoothing top evenly. Bake at 325 degrees 1 to 1 1/4 hours until wood pick inserted in center comes out
clean and center feels springy when pressed gently with tips of fingers. Makes 12 servings. Copyright Los Angeles Times -----

This flourless almond cake is so fluffy and moist.
RECIPE
190 g almond flour (1 cup + 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp)
130 g sugar (1/2 cup + 2 tbsps)
4 eggs
25 g cornstarch (3 tbsps)
50 ml milk (3 tbsps)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp cinnamon
orange/ lemon zest
PAN (7-INCH):
NOTES:
- Use the same size pan mine. This is the pan I used: OR you can buy the complete set of springform pans set:
- For guaranteed results, I suggest using grams as the unit of measure
- Clean and dry well the whisks before whipping up the egg whites

Easy, light and super delicious almond cake recipe. Whether you have gluten allergy or you just like almonds, you going to love this flourless almond cake. This cake also a dairy-free.

Ingredients:
4 Eggs, separated
1½ cups (150g) Almond flour (ground almond)
3 tablespoons Vegetable/Canola oil
1/2 cup (100g) Sugar + 2 Tbsp (25g)
1 tablespoon Lemon zest
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1/4 cup Sliced almonds
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 340F (170C). line a bottom of 8-inch (20cm) round pan with parchment paper and grease the bottom and sides.
2. In a large bowl beat egg yolks with sugar on high speed, until thick, smooth and pale. Add oil, vanilla extract and lemon zest. Beat until incorporated.
3. Add almond flour and fold until incorporated.
4. In a separate bowl beat egg whites with pinch of salt. Beat until foamy, then gradually add 2 tablespoons of sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
5. Gradually fold the egg whites into egg yolk mixture, 1-2 tablespoons at the time. Fold just until combined after each addition, do not over fold.
6. Pour the batter to the prepared pan, sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
7. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown on top. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, release from the pan and let cool completely.

Ingredients:
1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup almond flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp almond extract
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 Tbsp oil
1/3 cup sliced toasted almonds
Powdered sugar for dusting.
To toast almonds: Place them in a single layer on a baking sheet in a 350 degree F oven for 5 minutes, halfway through, shake pan and flip almonds. Set aside to cool after they are golden brown.
Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 Tbsp milk
1/4 tsp almond extract
1/4 tsp vanilla extract.
Instructions:
In a bowl mix together yogurt, eggs, extracts and oil. Stir to combine
Add in flour, almond flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until dry ingredients are incorporated.
Pour into a greased 6 inch cake pan (line bottom of pan with parchment paper or wax paper).
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-33 minutes.
While baking mix up glaze. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and stir until smooth.
Remove cake from oven and flip onto a cooling rack.
Brush the sides and top of cake with the glaze.
Sprinkle top with almonds
Dust with powdered sugar
