How To make American Chocolate Bread
1 1/2 c All-purpose flour or bread
-flour 1 c Warm water (105 - 115 F)
2 Envelopes dry yeast
2 tb Honey
Dough: 1 c Lukewarm milk (95 F)
3 tb Butter, melted
4 To 5 cups all-purpose flour
-or bread flour 8 oz Semisweet chocolate,
-coarsely chopped 1 Egg beaten with 2 Tbs
-whipping cream (glaze) Sugar Makes 8 small loaves Sponge: For sponge: Whisk flour, water, yeast and honey in large bowl until smooth. cover with plastic. Let stand in warm draft-free area 1 hour. For dough: Stir down sponge, using wooden spoon. Blend in milk, butter and salt. Mix in enough flour 1/2 cup at a time to form soft dough. Knead on floured surface until smooth and no longer sticky, adding more flour if necessary, about 10 minutes. Grease large bowl. Add dough, turning to coat entire surface. Cover bowl with plastic. Let rise in warm draft-free area until doubled, about 1 1/4 hours. Grease eight 2 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pans. Gently knead dough on lightly floured surface until deflated. Pat out to 3/4 inch-thick rectangle. Cut into 8 even pieces. Pat each out into 4x7-inch rectangle. Spread 1 ounce chocolate on short end of each. Roll up jelly roll fashion. Pinch seam and ends to seal. Arrange seam side down in prepared pans. Cover with kitchen towel. Let rise for 15 minutes to lighten. Preheat oven to 375 F. Brush loaves with egg glaze and sprinkle with sugar. Bake until light brown and loaves sound hollow when tapped on bottom, about 30 minutes. Immediately remove from pans. Cool on racks 10 minutes. Serve loaves hot. Variation: Spread 1 Tbs raspberry preserves on short end of dough before adding chopped chocolate. Bon Appetit

Chocolate Milk Bread
Ingredients for bread:
All-purpose flour 3 cups
Milk powder 3 tbsp
Water 3/4 cup
Sugar 2 tbsp
Yeast 1 ½ tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Oil 1/4 cup
Cocoa powder 2 tbsp
Milk 1 tbsp
Egg brush
Butter (for greasing) as required
Directions:
1. In a bowl add water, sugar and yeast. Mix well and let it sit for 5-7 minutes or until it proofs at room temperature.
2. In another bowl add flour, milk powder, salt and mix well. Now make a well in center and add yeast mixture.
3. Mix all the ingredients and knead a smooth dough.
4. Now divide the dough by the ratio of 2:1. Cover one part and let it set until double in size.
5. Mix cocoa powder and milk together to form a paste.
6. Add this chocolate mixture in the 2nd dough part and knead the dough until chocolate is fully incorporated. Cover and let is sit until double in size.
7. Now take both doughs and roll them down into rectangle shape separately.
8. Place the chocolate rectangular dough over the white dough. Then roll the dough to the other end like a swiss roll. Pinch to combine the edges and close the ends.
9. Leave the dough to proof in a greased loaf pan until double in size covering it damp cloth.
10. Brush egg on it and bake at 180°C for 25-30 minutes.
Pro-tip: to check if the bread is done, tap it and if it gives a hollow sound it is ready.
11. When the bread is done, let it cool at room temperature while covered with damp cloth.
12. Cut the slices and serve Chocolate Milk Bread.

Cooking time: 30 mins
Serving: 2-3

Chocolate Banana Bread
The most delicious chocolate banana bread ( or cake ) ever. In Canada we call it banana “ bread “ simply because it’s baked in a loaf pan but it’s definitely cake to me ???? I tried to lighten the ingredients up and use healthier alternatives but feel free to make any substitutions necessary. It is so moist and another one bowl wonder. You will need:

3 ripe bananas
3/4 cup coconut sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/3 cup avocado oil ( or any )
1/4 cup nut milk ( or any )
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa/cacao
1.5 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
handful choc-chips

Please note : I used plant-based chocolate chips, as well as plant-based milk. Feel free to use any you love. Walnuts are so good in here as well but it’s up to you

Pre-heat oven to 375F. In a big bowl mash the bananas , and add in your wet ingredients + sugar. Stir and add in the cacao , flour , and baking soda. Pour it out onto a loaf pan lined with parchment paper to ensure your bread does not stick. Shake the loaf pan a little bit to distribute your batter and bake for 40 to 45 minutes depending on your oven. A toothpick should come out clean. You can let it cool and enjoy. We like to wrap it nicely after it’s cooled and leave it on the counter as it doesn’t last us long. Enjoy, and follow me for more.
