Devils on Horseback
A super simple appetizer that is packed with flavor and goes great with red wine.
Ingredients:
8 dates (pitted)
8 tsp of blue cheese
4 slices of prosciutto (sliced in half lengthwise)
Balsamic glaze
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Stuff each date with about a teaspoon of blue cheese. Wrap the stuffed dates in prosciutto and secure with the toothpick. Place them in a preheated oven for 10 minutes. Once out of the oven simply remove the toothpicks, arrange neatly on a plate and lightly drizzle with the balsamic reduction. Serve with some red wine.
Your date will love these dates ;)

Angels On Horseback Recipe
An easy way to make oysters using bacon - and of course I got the name wrong!
The Best Angels vs Devils on Horseback Recipe presented by Volpi Foods
One of the most important aspects of the ritual that watching the big football game has become is the feasting that goes with it. So why not bring some friendly competition to the snack platter? These appetizers do just that. Angels & Devils are old school, dating back to 19th-century Britain, and divisive right down to their names. The Angels came first, oysters simply wrapped in bacon and fried. Devils followed later, with prunes replacing the oysters. They took the name “Devils” only to counter the angels, not because they were particularly spicy. British palates of that era weren’t so keen on heat. That was then, this is now, and we want a kick. So line ’em up, and feel free to wager on which disappears first.
