If you love cinnamon, you will love this recipe. This spread is amazing on warm rolls for dinner, on toast, pancakes and anything else you butter on. I haven't tried it on a baked potato but hey, why not?
I got the idea from a restaurant my family went to recently and they served this butter with some warm dinner rolls. Everyone loved it.
So I figured, how hard can it be? So this is what I came up with and I thinks it's amazing. Maybe even better than theirs.
Here is the recipe: Apple Cinnamon Recipe Ingredients: 1 cube of butter (1/2 cup) softened (at room temperature) 5 tsp. unsweetened apple sauce 2 tsp. brown sugar, firmly packed 2 tsp. sugar 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
Directions: Place the butter in a mixing bowl and mix until whipped about 1 minute. Then add the applesauce, brown sugar, sugar, and cinnamon and mix until well incorporated. Scrape down the bowl a couple of times so that the sugars get well mixed in ( a good minute or two of mixing).
Cover and refrigerate.

How To Make Scones | Jamie Oliver | AD
Crumbly, rustic, simple fruit scones served with a dollop of clotted cream and strawberry jam. So wonderfully British, so delicious, the taste of Summer! This is a paid ad.
NB. The edit gremlins are back and somewhere along the lines the 2 eggs that should have been added with the milk are missing!! Or you can add 150ml of milk if you don't want to add eggs. Check out full recipe here.
Top tip - make an extra big batch and freeze the cut out dough. Then whenever you’re feeling peckish pop in the oven and cook until golden and warm.

Apple Cinnamon Scones
Light as air and crumbly, these apple cinnamon scones are packed with chunks of apple and spicy cinnamon. The scones are made with a basic buttermilk scone base so the texture is supremely tender.
INGREDIENTS: ¼ cup (2oz/50g) cold butter, plus 1 tablespoon. 1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled and diced. ½ teaspoon of cinnamon. 2 cups (8oz/250g) self-raising flour. 3 tbsp (50g/2oz) Butter ¼ teaspoon salt. ⅛ cup (1oz/25g) sugar. ½ cup (4fl.oz/125ml) buttermilk. 1 tablespoon milk. 1 tablespoon demerara sugar.
METHOD: 1. Preheat oven to 220°C/428°F/Gas Mark 7. 2. Melt one tablespoon of butter in a pan. 3. Add the chopped apple and cook for 5 minutes. 4. Sprinkle over the cinnamon and cook for a further 2 minutes. 5. Set aside and cool. 6. In a medium size bowl, add the flour and salt. 7. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. 8. Mix in the sugar, apple and buttermilk. 9. Stir until the mixture comes together. 10. Put onto a lightly floured surface and knead until the mixture forms a ball. 11. Put on a baking sheet, using a sharp knife lightly score the top of the cake into 8 wedges. 12. Brush with milk and sprinkle demerara sugar over the top. 13. Bake for 20-25 minutes until risen and golden. 14. Cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes. 15. Pull apart the wedges before serving. 16. You can store this scone in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to three months. 17. Mmm Scrummy!
