Italian Apple Cake [Torta di Mele] - Simple, Easy & Amazingly Delicious, Typical Italian Breakfast
Torta di Mele, or apple cake, is a beloved Italian dessert that is adored by people of all ages. This cake holds a special place in my heart as it reminds me of all the wonderful memories I've shared with Nonna, who taught me this recipe.
This cake is a delightful mix of crispy outer layers and a soft, moist interior, featuring the natural sweetness of apples and a zesty hint of lemon.

[ INGREDIENTS ] for a 8-inch (20cm) round cake pan
1 organic lemon
1.5 lb. (600g) apples
1/2 cup (110g) salted butter (or unsalted butter with a pinch of salt)
2 eggs
1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
1 3/4 cup (210g) all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
Powdered sugar for dusting

Apple Coffee Cake
My take on a simple and classic recipe of Apple Coffee Cake.

Ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
3 tsps baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups sliced or diced apples(3 small apples)
Topping:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 tbsp cinnamon(optional)
1/3 cup melted butter
Caramel Apple Coffee Cake | Delish
The perfect excuse to eat cake for breakfast.
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter and flour an 8 x 8” baking dish.
2. Make Batter: In a large bowl, combine 8 tablespoons of butter and sugar. Using a hand mixer, whip until light and fluffy. Add the egg and mix until smooth. Then add vanilla and sour cream and mix until evenly incorporated. Add 1 cup flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt and mix until just combined. Fold in chopped apples.
3. Make Streusel Topping: In a medium bowl, combine remaining 4 tablespoons of butter with brown sugar and remaining 1/2 cup flour. Add a pinch of salt, if desired. Stir with a fork, or use your hands, to create large clumps.
4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan then top with streusel. Bake until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes. Drizzle with caramel sauce then let cool for about 10 minutes.
5. Serve warm or at room temperature.

1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1 c. peeled, cored and chopped apples (about 1/2 pieces)
1/3 c. caramel sauce, warmed

Easy Cinnamon Apple Coffee Cake
Baking Instructions:
▪️ Bake in the oven at 350 degrees F for 32-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out of the center clean.
▪️ Let cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes before glazing.

▪️ 1 yellow cake mix
▪️ 1/2 cup oil
▪️ 1/4 cup applesauce
▪️ 1 cup sour cream
▪️ 4 large eggs
▪️ 1 tsp vanilla extract

▪️ 2-3 apples, peeled and diced into small pieces
▪️ 2 tbsp of cinnamon/brown sugar mixture below
Streusel Topping
▪️ 1/2 cup brown sugar
▪️ 1 tbsp cinnamon
▪️ 9 cinnamon graham cracker sheets, crumbled into small pieces
▪️ 1/4 cup butter, melted
Powdered Sugar Glaze
▪️ 1/2 cup powdered sugar
▪️ 1 tbsp milk
