12 oz Sea scallops
4 oz Butter, melted
1 oz Sherry
1 c Fresh bread crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste Slice scallops in half and place in a buttered casserole dish. Season with salt and pepper. Combine butter, sherry and crumbs. Pour over scallops. Bake at 350 degs for 10-15 mins. Grilled Scallops in the Shell because I couldn’t go all the way to the ocean and not cook some seafood! It’s been a minute since we’ve done scallops and grilling some in a shell felt like the perfect way to celebrate a much needed vacation. My wife and I spent a fun afternoon visiting the local seafood shack, picking out our dinner and getting a bit creative on how we were going to cook it. Now, I know this isn’t the first time someone has cooked scallops in a shell, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a fun, fresh recipe for us. It can be for you too! ???? ????

Baked Breaded Scallops Recipe
You’ll Need:
1 lb. Atlantic Sea Scallops
1/2 stick, melted unsalted butter
1/2C unseasoned breadcrumbs
Olive oil, few swirls (I used basil-infused)
1/4C Locatelli cheese (pecorino or parm)
1/4C fresh chopped parsley
6 big garlic cloves, chopped
Salt & pepper
2 tsp paprika
Optional, white wine
1 - Preheat oven to 400*F. Mix all topping ingredients until the texture of wet sand.
2 - Place scallops oh a parchment lined baking sheet. Pat the scallops so they’re completely dry. Press topping onto each scallop. Pour a drizzle of white wine on top.
3 - Bake 16 mins. and garnish with more fresh parsley! Serve with coconu
Baked Scallops Supreme | Bay Scallops in wine and butter with and crumb topping | Creative Cooking
This recipe uses Bay Scallops which are smaller than Sea Scallops but they are sweeter and perfect for this cooking method. Absolutely the best baked scallops dish that I have ever made. Be sure to read the article below.
INGREDIENTS (for 3 -4 people)
1-1/2 lbs fresh Bay Scallops
Some white wine - any variety
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 cup Ritz Crackers crushed (1 sleeve)
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
4 tbsp finely chopped parsley
8 tbsp (1 stick) salted butter
4 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp finely grated Parmigiano Reggiano
Unless the fish or seafood you’ve bought is literally the catch of the day, chances are it will smell and taste at least a little fishy, thanks to a compound found in nearly all seafood called trimethylamine oxide, or TMAO. This compound is odorless when fish and shellfish are alive, but once they’re killed, TMAO slowly transforms into TMA (trimethylamine), which has a fishy odor. But that doesn’t mean that the seafood has gone bad or is unusable. We’ve found an easy way to eliminate the smell: Soak the fish or the shellfish meat in milk for 20 minutes and then drain and pat dry. The casein in milk binds to the TMA, and when drained away, it takes the culprit that causes fishy odor with it. The result is seafood that’s sweet smelling and clean-flavored.
