How To make Basic Creamed Tuna with Variations
1 can tuna -- flaked
2 cups medium white sauce
sherry to season herbs and spices to taste
Creamed Tuna and Eggplant: Peel a medium sized eggplant and cut in 1/2 in slices. Dip in slightly beaten egg, and then in cracker crumbs. Saute in hot bacon fat on both sides about 8 minutes. Serve as a bed for creamed tuna. Sprinkle with dill, chives or chopped ripe olives. Hot Tuna Tarts: Make a simple tart shell and while still warm, fill with creamed tuna, season as you wish. You can add 1/4 cup cooked English peas and 1/2 cup cooked carrots, finely chopped to creamed tuna before adding to tart shell. Taste like Tuna pot pie!
Tuna Shortcake: Cover split, buttered biscuits or crescent with creamed tuna. I add finely chopped walnuts to this, about 1/4 cup.

TUNA PASTA
INGREDIENTS:
350g marinated tuna
500g mezze maniche pasta (Or Rigatoni if you can’t find these)
60g fresh capers
1 x clove of garlic
10-12 cherry tomatoes
EVOO
Sea Salt
Fresh parsley (chopped)
UTENSILS:
Medium fry pan
Large pot
Sharp knife
Wooden spoon
METHOD:
1. Boil 5L water in a large pot.
2. Finely chop a clove of garlic for your tuna pasta.
3. Heat the saucepan then add a generous drizzle of EVOO.
4. Once the oil has begun to warm, add the garlic then stir while it simmers on medium heat for 1-2 minutes.
5. Add the marinated tuna to the saucepan.
6. Cook the tuna around ten minutes, stirring occasionally.
7. Add a glass of dry white wine and stir through once again.
8. Let the wine evaporate and in the meantime, cut the cherry tomatoes into 2-3 pieces (depending on the size).
9. Once there is just a small amount of liquid left, add the capers and cherry tomatoes.
10. After a minute or so, you will smell the flavours of the sea and your tuna pasta is almost ready!
11. Once the water has boiled, add the sea salt and stir it through and then the pasta (dependent on packet cooking instructions - best served al dente!).
12. By now the tuna mixture should begin to cook through which means it’s time to squeeze in half a lemon.

Easy Tuna Casserole
In this video, I make a delicious easy tuna casserole recipe. This is a fantastic meal that doesn’t take long to prepare at all.
Full Recipe:
This meal is perfect for anyone who wants something super easy to throw together quickly. It also only takes up one dish, so it is perfect if you don’t want to be washing up a lot of dishes. Once in the oven, it will only take about 25 minutes before it is ready to eat.
You will find that this tuna casserole recipe uses just a few ingredients. This is perfect if you don’t want to be spending too much money and need to feed quite a few people.
If you need a list of ingredients and some written instructions on cooking this recipe up, then head over to the full recipe listed above.
If you prefer the casserole to not end up with a crunchy crust on top, then I recommended wrapping in some aluminum foil.
If crunchy cheese isn’t enough for you and would love a much crunchier top. You can instead quickly do a simple cheesy crumb mix for the topping. Again you can find more on this at the full recipe linked above.
If you’re not a fan of pasta, you can instead use something like egg noodles. Personally, it comes down to personal preference. I usually like using leftover pasta when I cook too much up the night before. Make sure you lightly coat the pasta in olive oil if storing before using it in this dish.
If you love corn, then I recommended adding some to the recipe. I usually add half a cup and reduce the quantity of peas I put in by half.
