- 170g Self raising flour
- 170g Caster Sugar
- 1 /2 Tbsp baking powder
- 1/4 Tsp baking soda
- 71 g (3) Egg whites
- 57g Vegetable oil
- 142g Buttermilk
- 85g Butter
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
Ganache ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup white chocolate
- 1/4 Cup hot milk

Chocolate Buttermilk Cake w/Frosting
I tried this recipe off Pinterest from Spicy Southern Kitchen. It turned out delicious and not too sweet. I made some changes noted with a star. Check out her recipe if you want to try it without my changes.

INGREDIENTS
CAKE
1 cup unsalted butter ☆
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
CHOCOLATE-BUTTERMILK FROSTING
1/2 cup unsalted butter☆
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/3 cup buttermilk
•4 cups confectioners' sugar☆
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9X13-inch pan.
Combine 1 cup butter, 1/3 cup cocoa,☆ 2 cups sugar ☆and 1 cup water in a small saucepan and heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until butter is fully melted. You can cut the butter into pieces to speed up the process. ☆Remove from heat and cool a bit☆.
Using an electric mixer, beat buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Gradually add melted butter mixture, beating until mixed.
•☆Add flour, and salt, and beat until blended. ☆ Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until set in the middle.
☆To make frosting, combine butter, cocoa, vanilla, and buttermilk in a medium bowl, and blend in confectioners' sugar,.☆
Pour over cake while cake is still warm. Let frosting cool and set some before slicing.

Buttermilk Pound Cake
1 C Butter - room temperature
1 1/2 C Sugar
4 Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
3 C Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1 C Buttermilk
Grease and flour a 10 Bundt Pan
In a medium sized bowl whisk together flour, baking soda & salt. Set
aside.
In a large bowl beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy approx 4 - 5
minutes. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time until just incorporated. Alternately
add the flour and buttermilk to the butter mixture finishing off with the flour.
Pour into greased & floured bundt pan. Bake @ 325 F for 50- 60 minutes or until a toothpick
comes out clean.

Buttermilk Pound Cake
Bake a decadent buttermilk pound cake with a butter glaze that will melt in your mouth. This cake is incredibly moist and flavorful!
For the cake:
3 c of all-purpose flour (sifted)
2 c of granulated sugar
1 1/2 c (3 sticks) of unsalted butter- room temperature
1 1/2 c of buttermilk- room temperature
5 whole eggs- room temperature
1/2 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsps of vanilla extract
1 tsp of almond extract
For the glaze:
1/2 c (1 stick) of unsalted butter - melted
2 c of powdered sugar
3-4 tbsps of milk
1 tsp of vanilla

Lemon Blueberry Buttermilk Cake
Ok guys, I did a lot of testing to figure out how to get those dang blueberries to stay in the cake and not all sink to the bottom! This lemon cake is tart, tangy and ohhhh so moist and then dotted with those sweet blueberries and frosted with cream cheese. Bring this cake to your next summer BBQ and be the star of the party!

12 oz (368.54 g) granulated sugar

8 oz (226.8 g )unsalted butter (softened)
8 oz (283.5 g) buttermilk (Or regular milk with 1 Tbsp white vinegar added)
3 oz (85.05 g) vegetable oil

2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

2 Tbsp AP Flour (for dusting blueberries)
