Slow Cooker Wagyu Corned Beef with Beer
The key to cooking all raw corned beef is low and slow. Other preparation methods exist, but a smoker or slow-cooker is the best way to get the best out of your Holy Grail Wagyu Corned Beef.
If you’re short on time, you’re going to appreciate the slow-cooker method. Some recipes call for the addition of root vegetables or potatoes just before the meat is tender. If so, you may have to revisit the pot. Otherwise, you can pretty much add all the ingredients to the slow-cooker, set it on low, and return eight hours later to a delicious meal.
Here's our Slow Cooker Wagyu Corned Beef Recipe with Beer
1 Onion Sliced
2 lbs Red Potatoes Cut in Quarters
3 to 4 Large Carrots Cut in 1 Inch Sections
12oz Lager or Pilsner
1 Head of Cabbage Quartered
4-5 lb Wagyu Corned Beef -
Cooking Instructions:
Prep all vegetables, a rough chop or dice is perfectly fine for this classic St. Patrick's Day dish. Add your onions, carrots and potatoes on the bottom of the slow cooker first. Place your wagyu corned beef on top of your veggies. Pour your beer in the slow cooker and you're ready to let it all take a nice beer bath.
Set your slow cooker for 8 hours on low. After 7 hours place your cabbage in the slow cooker for the last hour of cooking.
When the time is up remove your wagyu corned beef from the slow cooker and slice. Serve with your carrots, onions and cabbage and an ice cold beer to wash it down!
