1/2 c Flour,all-purpose 1/2 c Beer 1 t Salt 1 1/2 lb Shrimp,large Salad oil 1. In small bowl, mix flour, beer, and salt. 2. Shell and devein shrimp; rinse with running cold water and pat dry with paper towels. 3. In 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, heat 2 inches salad oil to 375'F on deep-fat thermometer (or heat oil in deep-fat fryer set at 375'F). 4. Dip shrimp, one at a time, into batter and drop into hot oil. Fry shrimp until lightly browned, turning shrimp once, about 1 minute. Drain shrimp on paper towels.

Hey guys, just felt like having some fish and chips and decided to see if Louisiana's Beer Batter was good and I have to say it was. A quick and easy meal. And yes there is quite a bit of frying in this one. Hope you enjoy! Choice of fish, I used Dover sole but a meatier type of fish like Pollack or catfish would work best Deveined Shrimp Beer Batter Mix- I substituted Beer with Clubsoda and some oven cooked chips or fries
BEER BATTERED FRIED SHRIMP POBOYS
BEER BATTERED FRIED SHRIMP 1 cup all purpose FLOUR 1 cup BEER, any kind you like Pinch of SALT 1 teaspoon CREOLE SEASONING Mix batter ingredients together with a whisk and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Dip thawed, deveined, and peeled shrimp into the batter and fry in cooking oil for 3 minutes total. Take up and let drain on a paper towel. WASABI MAYONNAISE SPREAD 1/4 to 1/2 cup MAYONNAISE 2 to 3 tablespoons WASABI Juice of half a LIME Fresh Ground PEPPER to taste Stir these ingredients together in a bowl. Slice a poboy sized piece of bread from a loaf of french bread. Then slice in half to make a sandwhich. Toast both sides on a griddle with butter. Spread some of the wasabi sauce on the inside of the bread. Build up layers of Shrimp, Shredded Lettuce, Thinly sliced Tomatoes and top with the other half of the toasted Bread. Enjoy!!
