How To make Biscotti Di Regina(Queen's Biscuits)
4 cups flour
sifted
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup shortening
2 eggs :
slightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/4 pound sesame seeds -- about 2/3 to 3/4 cup
Lightly grease 2 cookie sheets. Heat the oven to 375F. Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a bowl. Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender or two knives, until the pieces are the size of small peas. Stir in the eggs and the milk (1 tablespoon at a time) to make a soft dough. Mix together thoroughly. Break the dough into small pieces and roll each between the palms of your hands to form rolls about 1 1/2 inches in length. Flatten the rolls slightly and roll them in the sesame seeds. Place about 3/4 inch apart on the prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until thee cookies are lightly browned. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.

Questa e’ Una delle torte preferite della regina Elisabetta .
Semplicissima nella realizzazione e dal gusto molto delicato anche se per me a una piccola pecca e cioè l’aggiunta dell’uovo crudo.
Ma ho voluto replicarla così come la faceva il suo chef personale McGrady.
Anche il principe William adorava questa torta infatti è stata presentata al suo matrimonio ma non so se anche re Carlo ne andasse ghiotto

저는 참깨를 무지 좋아해요~
고소한 맛에 자꾸 먹고 싶은 것 중에 하나인데요.
어렸을때 할머니가 자주 해 주시던 참깨강정이 갑자기 너무 먹고 싶은거에요.
그래서 방법이 없을까 뒤지다가 이 레시피를 발견했답니다 ????
강정은 아닌데 강정같이 달달하고 단단하고 고소한 참깨비스킷!!
너무 맛있더라구요 ????
저는 당뇨도 있고 다이어트도 하고 있어요.
처음 당뇨가 발병했을 당시엔 식이조절도 운동도 아무것도 되지 않은 상태였는데 저탄수로 식이를 하면서 15kg 감량을 하게 되었어요.
그리고 더불어 당뇨도 거의 정상으로 돌아오고 있고요.
저탄고지 키토식을 하면서 처음엔 탄수량을 줄이는게 너무 힘들었어요.
밥보다 빵을 더 좋아하는 저로서는 이제 뭘 먹고 살지?!! 하는 생각으로 나날이 술픈 마음이었어요.
그러다 알게된 저탄고지 키토식이로 체중도 줄면서 당뇨도 고쳐지는 것을 경험하고는 너무 기뻤답니다.
지금도 감량은 계속 되고 있어요.
그러다 보니 저탄수베이킹을 더 열심히 하게 되었죠~
몸에 당뇨가 있다는건 탄수를 줄여나갈 수 밖에 없는데 그걸 슬픔으로만 생각할게 아니라 이랗게 탄수량이 적은 간식들을 만들어 먹으니 행복해요~
참깨 비스킷을 순탄수가 1.21g밖에 되지 않으니 안심하고 먹을 수 있는 간식이에요.
저와 함께 즐겁게 만들어 보면서 다이어트에도 성공하고 당뇨도 정상으로 돌리고 몸에 염증수치도 줄이는데 성공해 보아요^^

250 g all-purpose flour (1 cup + 1/2 cup+ 3 tbsps)
90 g sugar (1/2 cup)
1 egg
40 g milk (3 tbsps)
80 g butter (1/4 cup + 2 tbsp)
8 g baking powder (2 tsp)
1 tsp vanilla extract

Bersaglieri o totó dolci tipici siciliani
Ciao a tutti. Oggi vi proponiamo una nuova ricetta: Bersaglieri o totó.
I biscotti bersagliere fanno parte della ricca varietà di “dolci dei morti”, tipici del catanese e di altre parti della Sicilia orientale. Sono biscotti ricoperti di glassa al cacao. In genere, i bersaglieri vengono prodotti e venduti insieme ai biscotti regina, dai quali si differenziano per la presenza del cacao tra gli ingredienti, che nei biscotti regina è sostituito con succo di limone.

Ingredienti:
500 gr Farina
200 gr Latte
100 gr Zucchero
100 gr Strutto
2 Uova
1 cucchiaio di Cacao
1 pizzico di Sale
1 bustina Lievito per dolci
1 bustina Vanillina
Per la glassa al cacao:
4 cucchiai cacao
6 cucchiai zucchero
10 cucchiai acqua
Hello to all. Today we propose a new recipe: Bersaglieri or totó. The bersagliere biscuits are part of the rich variety of desserts of the dead, typical of the Catania and other parts of eastern Sicily. They are slightly soft cookies covered with cocoa glaze. In general, the bersaglieri are produced and sold together with the queen biscuits, from which they differ in the presence of cocoa among the ingredients, which in the queen biscuits is replaced with lemon juice. Ingredients:
500 gr flour
200 gr of milk
100 gr Sugar
100 gr Lard
2 eggs
1 tablespoon of cocoa
1 pinch of salt
1 sachet Baking powder
1 sachet Vanillin
For the cocoa icing:
4 tablespoons cocoa
6 tablespoons sugar
10 tablespoons water
Method:
We combine the flour with the sugar, the cocoa, the salt, the yeast and the vanillin. We add the eggs and the lard, we begin to mix and meanwhile we add the milk flush. We knead until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, cover with film paper and let the refrigerator rest for 60 minutes. Let's remove the pieces from the dough and make cylindrical shapes 6 cm wide and 2 cm high. We get into shape at 200 degrees for 10 minutes and then 150 degrees for about 15 minutes. Once baked let it cool. Meanwhile, prepare the frosting: add the sugar to the cocoa and water, mix and put on the fire. When it starts to boil, let's take another minute.
