How To make Black Walnut Chocolate Drop Cookies
1 3/4 c Flour sifted
1/2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
1 c Black walnuts; chopped
1/2 c Butter
1 1/4 c Brown sugar; sifted
Packed 1 Egg
2 oz Unsweetened chocolate
Melted and cooled 1 ts Vanilla extract
1/2 c Milk
Chocolate frosting: 1 1/2 oz Unsweetened chocolate; melt
1 Egg yolk
3 tb Light cream
1 1/4 c Confectioners' sugar; sifted
Mix and sift flour, baking soda, powder and salt; add nuts and mix. Cream butter and add sugar gradually and cream until fluffy. Add well-beaten egg and chocolate. Add extract to milk. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to creamed mixture, mixing just enough after each addition to combine ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased baking sheets. Bake in a preheated oven for 12 minutes. When cool spread with chocolate frosting. Frosting: Combine chocolate, slightly beaten egg yolk, and cream; add sugar and mix well. -----

Old Fashioned CHRISTMAS COOKIE Recipe! Double CHOCOLATE WALNUT Drops!
This old fashioned Christmas cookie recipe comes from the Good Housekeepings Book of Cookies which is from 1958.
1 ½ cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 TSP baking powder
¾ TSP salt
¾ cup soft shortening
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 sq unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 egg, unbeaten
2 TBSP milk
1 TSP vanilla extract
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
¾ cup chopped walnuts
Walnut halves
Preheat oven to 350F. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cream shortening with sugar, add melted chocolate and egg. Beat until light and fluffy.
Mix in milk, then flour mixture, add vanilla, chocolate chips, and chopped walnuts.
On greased cookie sheet, drop cookie mixture by heaping teaspoonfuls, 1” apart; press walnut half into some of the cookies. Bake 15 – 18 minutes. Cool on rack. Makes about 4 dozen.

1 ice cream scooper

Preheat oven to 350
INGREDIENTS:
2 sticks butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tbs vanilla extract ( imitation vanilla is fine )
1 teaspoon kosher salt or table salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 teaspoon cornstarch
-2 cups all purpose flour plus two tablespoons
-1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips ( you canadd chocolate chunks if you want, plus more for topping )
-1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts ( plus more for topping )
* 1 ice cream scooper *
Note* if you decided to use a smaller scooper instead of the 2 1/4 scooper like I did .. please adjust cooking time. Bake cookies for 8 mins instead. * Please understand that the cookies will seem a bit under cooked once removed from the oven, but dont be alarmed they will Harden as they cool *
* Please cook larger cookies for 9-10 mins (same size as cookies in v video *
*
*if using a mini scooper bake cookies for 6-7 mins *
* you can also freeze this cookie dough to use at a later time *
