How To make Calico Quiche
9 inch unbaked single crust pastry
(9 to 10)
1 cup half & half
4 eggs
1 can cut asparagus :
(10 1/2 oz.)
spears drained 1 can golden whole kernel :
(7 oz.)
corn drained 1 can ham :
flaked (6 3/4 oz.)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (4 oz.)
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese :
(2 oz.)
CONVENTIONAL METHOD: Heat oven to 375 degrees. Assemble filling: In a bowl, bea t half and half with eggs. Stir in asparagus, corn, ham, 1 cup cheese, onion, s alt and pepper. Pour into unbaked pastry shell. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Bake for 45 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clea n.
MICROWAVE METHOD: Microwave pastry shell on high for 5 to 6 minutes or until bo ttom is dry and flaky. In a bowl, beat half and half with eggs. Stir in asparag us, corn, ham, 1 cup cheese, onion, salt and pepper. Pour into baked shell. Mic rowave on low for about 25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean, rotating 1/2 turn halfway through cooking. When almost ready, sprinkle w ith remaining cheddar cheese and microwave 30 seconds. Let stand 5 minutes befo re serving. Recipe from "One Million Recipes CD"

Delicious Maine variation to traditional scrambled eggs !
Sweet Bonda / Pazhacake / Undampori / Wheat Bonda (with English Subtitle)
Easy & Tasty Evening Snack......... :)
Preparation:
• Dissolve the jaggery in water by heating it and then strain it
• Mix the baking soda with the wheat flour
• Grind the banana, cardamom, jaggery syrup together in a mixer and add this mixture little by little into the wheat flour and knead it well
• Add peanuts & knead it again and keep it aside for 1 hour
• Heat the required amount of oil in a bottom thick pan. When the oil gets hot, make small balls out of the batter and fry it in medium flame.
• Take it out when both sides become golden brown & serve it hot with tea/coffee
Required Ingredients:
• 1 kg wheat flour
• ½ kg jaggery
• 1 cup water
• 2 small banana
• 1½ tsp baking soda
• 1 tbsp roasted peanut
• 5-6 cardamom
• oil as required

Cook Time - 1 hour 20 minutes
Ingredients :
1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
6 strips bacon
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 cup ketchup
1 can pork and beans
1 can lima beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can chili beans
Directions :
Saute hamburger, green pepper, and onion. Add remaining ingredients, place in baking pan, and bake
1 hour and 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
