We can make jalapeño cheddar bread in many ways. There are definitely more easy ways. But the texture of the bread will be different.I have tried a few different ways of making this bread ; and this jalapeno cheddar bread is my favorite.
I always like to simplify recipes. In this jalapeño cheddar cheese bread recipe we do the minimal handling of dough and use the minimal proofing time. And the resulting bread has that amazing open porous crumb and crispy crust (just like a bread made with a preferment or biga).I hope you will love this No knead jalapeno cheddar bread recipe.
Why you will love this No knead Jalapeño cheddar bread recipe
It is easy to make; there is no hard kneading
Requires only four basic ingredients to make the bread dough
It doesn’t require any previous preparation as we dont use biga or poolish
You can bake this cheddar jalapeño bread in less than three and half hours.
The resulting jalapeño cheddar bread is super delicious and so incredibly soft with large porous crumb and with a crispy crunchy crust.
For this Jalapeno cheddar dutch oven bread recipe,If you are making bread for the first time,I would suggest you to weigh your ingredients rather than using cup measurements.
What type of flour is best for making this No knead jalapeño cheddar bread
We can use bread flour or all purpose flour to make this bread. To get the best results, use flour that contain protein to be 10 % or more.
I have made this cheddar jalapeño bread recipe using 10 % of flour as whole meal rye flour and it turned out really good.
For making this jalapeño cheddar dutch oven bread,I don’t suggest to use 100% whole wheat flour as it contain more bran particles, the dough may not be able to rise properly and the bread may turn dense and heavy.
HOW TO MAKE NO KNEAD JALAPENO CHEDDAR BREAD
As with any bread recipe, there is not one way to approach it rather many different techniques that could be used. This technique produces artisan cheddar bread with light, airy, soft ,creamy, moist open crumb and a crispy crust.
Why do we need to score the jalapeño cheddar bread before taking in to the oven
The purpose of scoring is primarly to control the direction in which the bread will expand during “oven spring”
By scoring a bread,we are intentionally creating a weak spot on the surface of the loaf preventing the loaf from bursting at any other weak spots created during shaping.
Thus scoring the bread dough will help the bread to expand beautifully and helps the bread to not to crack open at undesirable spots.
When should you score the bread.
Scoring is generally performed just before loading the loaves in the ovenPopular Videos on our channel

Cheddar Bacon Ranch Cheesy Pull Apart Bread
Cheddar Bacon Ranch Pull Cheesy Apart Bread is a wonderful way to serve up some of our favorites; sourdough bread, bacon, and cheddar cheese. This can be put together quickly and prepared in the oven. This recipe would be perfect to tailgate with, or even to serve at a special dinner.
This is Stephanie Manley. I'm going to show you how you can make Bacon
Cheddar Ranch pull-apart bread. I recently saw this recipe on a couple of
websites, One including PlainChicken.com. I thought this was fabulous; I
wanted to give this one a try.
I'm going to begin by using bacon instead of bacon bits. I going to take my
bacon; I'm taking about 4 ounces of bacon and putting it in a 425-degree
oven. I'm going to only bake it for about 8 to 10 minutes, so that means my
bacon is not done, but I don't need it to be done, I just need it to be
partially done. Once that bacon is taken out, I'm going to chop it up into
small pieces and get it ready to put in my bread.
Talking about that bread, I want you to slice your bread diagonally, with
the pieces being about an inch apart. Don't slice down all the way to the
bottom of the bread. When you get to the end pieces, don't be as aggressive
about cutting them. When you finish slicing the bread one way, turn it
around and then slice it the other way, diagonally again. We get these nice
little chunks of bread inside.
It's time to make the sauce. We're going to melt 1/2 cup of butter, that's 1
stick of butter, and we're going to use 1 tablespoon of dry Ranch mix. This
is our wonderful sauce that's going to help flavor up this bread. We're
going to give this a quick little stir and set this aside.
Now it comes time to stuff this bread. I'm going to use sliced sharp
cheddar cheese. I'm going to cut my slices in half so they'll fit down into
my bread. All I'm going to do is take each one of these slices and slip it
into one of the slices of bread. You can see how easy that is to do.
Rinse, lather, and repeat. We're complete this until it's all the way done.
I'm using about 6 to 8 ounces of cheese here, but I like my bread pretty
cheesy. You can see, I have it all the way done now. I have a little bit
leftover, so I'm just finding any little crack and sticking it in there.
Next, we're going to start pouring on that ranch butter sauce. Just drizzle
that over, and just keep on drizzling until you run out of this fabulous
sauce. It's so good. The next thing we're going to do is we're going to add
our bacon to this. You are going to want to push that bacon down into those
crevices if you can, if not, you can just leave them on top, it's okay.
We had our oven on previously for the bacon. Go ahead and reduce its
temperature to just 350 degrees. Once I get all of this bacon on here, I'm
going to wrap this up in foil and I'm going to cook it for about 10 to 15
minutes. Then I'm going to take it out of the oven, I'm going to open it up
at the top, put it back into the oven, and let it cook for an additional 10
to 15 minutes. Here I am wrapping it up. I'm putting it on a baking sheet,
because you're going to have a little bit of that ranch butter sauce drip
down.
Here's 15 minutes later. We need the bacon to crisp up right now. You can
see how fabulous that bread's looking. Again, back in the oven for 10 to 15
minutes. You pull it out, and you have this bread. It's so yummy.
