Cheddar Cheese Sausage Biscuits Preheat oven to 425
1 pound ground pork sausage 3 cups all purpose flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 stick butter or 8 tablespoons 2 cups of cheddar cheese 1teaspoon of minced garlic 1 1/4 cup of buttermilk 2 tablespoon green onions (finely minced) 2 tablespoons of melted butter
Grease your baking pan (I use crisco and flour) In a large bowl mix together the flour, baking soda, powder and salt. Add the butter using a cutter or chopper. (I used the chopper) Make sure it becomes crumbles or pea size mixture. Put in the sausage and cheese. Then add the green onion. Add the garlic and buttermilk and I mixed mine with a chopper and then I used my hands. Knead together but do not over knead. I rolled these out gently and used a medium size biscuit cutter and put them on the greased cook sheet and brush on melted butter. Bake these biscuits for 18 to 20 minutes. I put an extra cookie sheet because I do not like my bottom of the biscuits too brown.
Enjoy
