Delicious Maraschino Cherry Shortbread Cookies— it’s time to prepare these superbly delightful shortbread cookies with a tweak of red bites of Maraschino cherries. This is the best Christmas dessert that you can serve to your guests at Christmas. The good thing is the recipe is super-easy to follow, and you can have sweet treats with your family.

Cherry Mash Bars
This is a little more healthy version of Cherry Mash bars. Easy to make and yummy.
You'll need:
Centers:
1-12 ounce package marshmallows
1- 8-12 ounce package unsweetened coconut
1-8 ounce jar of Maraschino cherries, chopped, reserving at least 2 tablespoons of juice.
1/4 to 1/3 cup margarine or butter.
Coating:
1-1 pound package chocolate coating, plus about 1/2 cup of good chocolate chips. Or a 1 pound package of good chocolate for dipping, like semi-sweet Ghirardelli chocolate chips.
1-1 pound package/jar of unsalted peanuts (or fancier nut for posh) chopped roughly in food processor.
Melt marshmallows in large microwave-safe bowl for about a minute, until just soft enough to stir.
Add in unsweetened coconut 1/3 pkg at a time. Stir. Add in margarine and blend in. Heat a little more in the microwave if necessary. Add 2 tablespoons (or more to taste) of the cherry juice. Add chopped cherries. Mix. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until firmish. Mixture doesn't get really hard, though it may if you use butter. Mixture will stay good for several days.
When firm enough to handle, remove from fridge and scoop out into balls about the size of a walnut. Place on wax paper on a cookie sheet. Mixture will have warmed by the time you're done, so put back in the fridge while you prepare the coating.
Melt chocolate in microwave safe bowl in 30 minute increments. Stir. Repeat until a good dipping consistency, and no more than your own body heat in temperature. Have chopped peanuts standing by.
Dip each center into chocolate with fork. Let excess chocolate drip off. Drop into nuts. Cover with chopped nuts and place back on the cookie sheet. Repeat until they are all done.
Candy should be firm enough to place in a ziplock back when you're done with the cookie sheet. Keep in fridge for a nice crunchy outside shell.

Randy Makes Cherry Mash Bars
Chocolate, peanuts, and cherry combine to make a classic treat.
INGREDIENTS
55g (1/4 cup) granulated sugar
8g (1/2 tbsp) butter
¼ tsp salt
22g (1.5 tbsp) evaporated milk
11g (1/4 cup) mini marshmallows
45g (1/4 cup) cherry baking chips
34g (1/8 cup) peanut butter
36g (1/4 cup) crushed peanuts
DIRECTIONS
Line the 4x4 pan with parchment, then spray the parchment paper with some cooking spray.
In a saucepan, add the sugar, butter, salt, and evaporated milk.
Bring it to a boil, stirring constantly
Insert a candy thermometer and cook until the mixture reaches 234 degrees F, stirring constantly.
Remove the pan from the stove and quickly stir in the mini marshmallows and cherry baking chips.
Evenly spread the mixture into the lined pan and then set it aside.
Melt the chocolate and peanut butter.
Add the peanuts and stir together until well combined.
Evenly spread this over the cherry layer.
When it’s cool, remove it from the pan, and cut it into whatever size pieces you’d like.

Mom makes us a delicious classic candy recipe, Cherry Mash. Cherry Mash is a chocolate peanut butter mixture filled with a layer of marshmallow and cherry candy. This candy recipe is delicious. Give it a try.

this recipe is for two 8 x 8 cake pans. If you would like less candy, then cut the recipe in half.
In microwavable container, mix 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup peanut butter. Cook or 1 minute, making sure to stop and mix every 30 seconds. Once out of microwave, stir, then add 1 cup chopped roasted salted peanuts. In baking dishes place parchment paper, then place half of mixture in each dish. Spread. Make sure you spread evenly to the edges. Place in refrigerator to set for 2 hours.
In sauce pan combine 4 tbsp butter, 2 cups of sugar and 2/3 of half and half. Bring to a boil. Once boiling stir occasionally and cook for 5 minutes. After the five minutes is up, take off heat. Add 2 cups of miniature marshmallows and 2 cups of cherry chips. Mix until smooth and chops and marshmallows are melted. Take the chocolate out of refrigerator and place have of cherry mixture on each dish, spreading evenly to edges.
IN microwavable bowl combine 1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips, 1/2 cup of peanut butter. melt in microwave for 1 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Once out of microwave stir in 1 cup of chopped salted roasted peanuts. Stir until smooth. Pour half of mixture onto each cherry mixture. spread evenly to the edges. Place in refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours. Take out, cut and enjoy.
