Chicken Cordon Bleu
Ingredients
2 pcs Boneless chicken breast
2 pcs sliced ham
2 pcs sliced cheese
2 eggs
½ cup flour
1 cup bread crumbs
Salt
Ground black pepper
Cooking oil
Procedure
1. Pound chicken breast until ¼ inch in thickness. Rub both sides of chicken with salt.
2. Top chicken breast with slice ham and cheese then roll the chicken. Tightly wrap chicken in plastic wrap to shape it, twist remaining plastic on the sides and tie it. Chill in the ref for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Or you can use toothpick to fasten the chicken.
3. In separate serving dish season flour, egg and bread crumbs with salt and pepper. Mix well.
4. Then dredge rolled chicken in flour, coat in beaten egg and roll in bread crumbs.
5. Heat enough cooking oil to deep fry in a pan and fry breaded rolled chicken until golden brown. Drain excess oil in paper towel. Sliced chicken and it’s ready to serve!

CHICKEN CORDON BLEU STROMBOLI
INGREDIENTS
1 sheet puff pastry
8 oz thinly sliced deli ham
8-10 cooked chicken strips
4-6 slices Swiss cheese
alfredo sauce, ranch dressing, honey mustard or sauce of your choice
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 425°. Unroll puff pastry baking sheet. Brush with sauce. Cut 1-inch strips from the center out along each side. If you want to create a folding notch, trim off the top and bottom strips. Do not cut through the center. Layer chicken strips, ham and cheese evenly on the middle section only. Fold the notches up and over the center, then fold each strip over the filling overlapping and alternating, creating a braid.
Bake until crust is dark golden brown, 18-22 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. If desired, serve with extra sauce for dipping.

Check out my latest kitchen creation! This recipe comes from the TASTY by Buzzfeed youtube channel. TASTY has all those recipes shot from overhead that look super easy. Well I tried out TASTY Chicken Cordon Bleu, made with Puff Pastry. It wasn't as easy as it looked, but im giving myself a PASS on this one!
