2 c Raw Peanuts
2 ts Chili Powder
1 ts Cumin, Ground
3 sm Dried Hot Red Chiles
1 tb Salad Oil
Salt The lively flavors of cumin and chiles make these peanuts irresistible. To sip alongside, offer ice-cold beer, margaritas, or tomato juice. Yield: 8 To 10 Servings. Preparation Time: About 5 Minutes. Cooking Time: About 25 Minutes. Place the peanuts in a large rimmed baking pan. Bake in a 350?F oven, stirring occasionally, until lightly golden (about 15 minutes). Remove from the oven. Add the chili powder, cumin, chiles, and oil to the pan, blending well. Return to the oven and continue to bake, stirring once, until the peanuts are a golden brown, (8 to 10 Minutes more). Season to taste with the salt. Serve warm or cool. Masala Peanuts
Ingredients
1 cup peanuts
1 tsp ginger garlic crushed
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp chaat masala
1/4 tsp turmeric
salt to taste
Gramflour
water
oil for deep frying
METHOD
In a bowl combine peanuts with all the above spices first add a tbsp water and mix thorougly such that all spices are coated well with the peanuts
Now add gramflour little by little and keep mixing gently till all the peanuts are coated well from all sides with gramflour
Now sprinkle very little water so that the gramflour binds well with the peants and masalas
Heat oil well then lower the heat add the peanuts and spread them mix well so that the peanuts seperate from each other
Cook on low to medium flame as peanuts are raw from inside to ensure even browning from outside and crispiness from inside
Once they are golden brown from all sides remove and drain on absorbent paper
Store in airtight containers will remain crisp for long and relish as and when required
