Shabbat Meal Prep || Stuffed Cabbage || Babka || Deli Roll / Cholent Recipe
Another week another Shabbat meal Prep!! Hope this video provides you with some inspiration and motivation for your meal preps.
Veal breast:
Montreal steak seasoning
Salt and pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Cumin
Coriander
Oil
Bake at 400F for 3 hours covered.
Stuffed cabbage filling recipe:
Ground meat
1 cup rice
1 bunch cilantro
1 onion
1 tomato
1 apple
Tomato sauce
S/p
Fried flounder:
Dip flounder first into egg mixed with paprika, S&p, garlic powder and then into panko crumbs. Fry on both sides.
Salmon Teriyaki:
Put teriyaki sauce over salmon. Sauté whole head of garlic until brown. Add on top of salmon. Bake covered for 30 minutes at 400F.
Salmon in Mayo garlic dill sauce:
Mix 2 tbsp mayo with dill, crushed garlic, S/P. Smear onto salmon. Bake covered at 400F for 25 minutes.
Roasted zucchini salad:
Broil zucchini’s on both sides that have been seasoned with s/p and oil. Add different colored peppers, red onion, cilantro,garlic, vinegar, s/p.
Cholent/ bean overnight stew:
Place 2 steaks into a crock-pot with 1/2 a cup of barley and 1 and a half cup mixed beans that have been soaked. Add 1 tbsp salt, chicken consome, onion and garlic powder as well as bbq sauce, tomato sauce and honey. To that also add 1 large cubed potato, 1 tomato and 4 sliced garlic cloves. Add water and cook on low overnight.
Deli Roll:
Roll out puff pastry dough. Place mayo, mustard and ketchup in the center. Place 2 different types of Turkey deli in the middle and braid. Egg was and bake at 400F for 30 minutes.
Challah recipe:
5lb all purpose flour
4 and 1/2 cups water
3tbsp yeast
1 cup sugar
1 cup oil
2 tbsp salt
5 eggs
Filling:
1 packet chocolate pudding
1 egg
2 cups sugar
1 cup cocoa powder
3/4 cup oil
1/2 cup water
Glaze after baking:
1 cup sugar and 3/4 cup water brought to a boil.

Bahsh (green rice):
2 cups rice
4 bunches cilantro
1 cup cubed meat or chicken of choice
1 diced onion
1/2 c oil
1/2 c water
1tbsn salt
1 tbsp chicken consome
Pepper
Cumin and coriander
Bake covered at 400F for 1 and 1/2 hours mixing half way through
Osvo-lamb and rice overnight stew:
Grate:
1 apple, 1 onion, and 1 tomato a squeeze of 1/2 a lemon
Add 1/4 cup of oil to pot and above ingredients. Add 2 cups rice, 1 can tomato sauce, lamb bones and 4 cups of water. Season with 1 tbsp of salt and 1 tbsp chicken consome. Cook for 12 hours on low flame.
???? Soup
Intro a 5Qt pot filled with water add meat of choice
Potatoes
Carrots
Onion
Season with S/P chicken consommé, Bay leaves and garlic powder. Cook for 1 hour.
???? Roast chicken:
Season chicken with paprika, S&p, chicken seasoning and oil. Cook covered at 350F for an hour and a half, then uncover till golden brown.
???? Moroccan Salmon:
Salmon Fillet
1-2 Red Chili
1-2 Green Jalapenos
Cilantro
5 Garlic Cloves
1 Tbsp of Tomato paste
1/4 Cup of Paprika
2 tbsp of Tumeric
S/P
1/2 Cup of Neutral Oil
1 Can of Chicpeas
???? Potato salad:
Boil
1 potato, 1 carrot, 3 eggs
Cube above ingredients as well as 3 pickles.
Season with mayo s/p
???? Matbucha Salad:
Dice 1 green pepper, 2-3 tomatoes, 1/2 jalapeños. Slice 4-5 garlic cloves. Sauté in 3 tbsp of oil. Season with salt, paprika and harissa. Let simmer until all the water evaporates.

1 1/2 cups chulent mix of beans (kidney, navy or cholent mix
1 1/2 cups barley
2 teaspoons salt
2 Tablespoons paprika
1 teaspoon pepper
2 Tablespoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon montreal steak seasoning or lawrys seasoned salt
3 Tablespoons ketchup
1 Tablespoon honey
5 eggs
Stir everything together in a slow cooker, cook on high for a few hours and then on low overnight.

1 kg meat (people love meat, so extra is usually a great idea :) (make sure marbleized)
1 cup of dry barley (white, small pearls)
2 onions - cut into chunks
2 potatoes - cut into chunks (We don't like them in the cholent, also it freezes beautifully without potatoes)
2 cups of beans - soaked overnight/for a few hours (we add 1 cup of soaked white+1 cup of soaked red)
❤️Spices❤️
2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoon sweet paprika
2 teaspoon granulated garlic / also fresh chopped garlic is good too.

Whether you call it cholent, chulent, מתכון לחמין, hamim shabbat or dafina de shabbat it all means the same thing: easy COMFORT FOOD recipe i.e. an amazing shabbat stew slowly cooked ( in the crock pot, the slow cooker or in the oven) from Friday before sundown to Saturday ( shabbat ) lunch!
This recipe is foolproof, easy and uses simple ingredients and is completely prepared in 15 minutes!
As a bonus we even added a recette de blé ie wheat/ blé/ chita recipe!
you can also add to this recipe more beans, kishka, dates,.. whatever you want to add in it!
keep in mind that you can do this cholent recipe in a slow-cooker / crock pot or in the oven ( specially in a dutch oven you leave it in the oven at 300*F overnight)

1Kg potatoes
500g-1Kg meat
1 egg per person or more if you really like them!
1 can of chickpeas
2-3 tbs paprika, garlic, cumin
1tbs salt
1 cup parboiled rice
1 cup of water
recette de blé:
1 cup of soft wheat kernels
1-2 tsp salt, paprika, chili powder
1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp soup base
1 cup water
