ABOUT ME: Hallo, Servus, and welcome to my channel! My name is Felicia (Feli), I'm 29, and I'm a German living in the USA! I was born and raised in Munich, Germany but have been living in Cincinnati, Ohio off and on since 2016. I first came here for an exchange semester during my undergrad at LMU Munich, then I returned for an internship, and then I got my master's degree in Cincinnati. I was lucky enough to win the Green Card lottery and have been a permanent resident since 2019! In my videos, I talk about cultural differences between America and Germany, things I like and dislike about living here, and other topics I come across in my everyday life in the States. Let me know what YOU would like to hear about in the comments below. DANKE :)

Chili recipe challenge: We tried a blind taste test of Skyline, Gold Star, and more Cincinnati chili
In celebration of 100 years of Cincinnati-style chili, we're going all-out. Like, six-way with onions, beans and garlic all-out. Maybe even some mustard and extra cheese.
If you're wondering what exactly happened 100 years ago, it was Oct. 24, 1922, when Empress Chili first opened its doors. And, boy howdy, look how far and wide our food staple has reached since then. It basically defines Cincinnati's place in the world. And we're OK with that.
The Enquirer staff tried a blind taste test of local chili and tries to guess which one is which. Here's how we did.

Cincinnati Style Chili - The Chili War!!!
It was developed by immigrants, but Cincinnati Chili is not an ethnic food. A uniquely American cuisine, chili is the food of assimilationand a Cincinnati tradition. In the city, there are over 300 chili parlors. We visit three of the most popular: Gold Star, Skyline and Camp Washington.
Cincinnati Chili - #ChiliSmackdown2023 #cincinnatichili #chiliday2023
Cincinnati Chili - Today I am participating in a chili collab, #ChiliSmackdown2023. It is being hosted by Tony @KettleKitchen and Ginger @NotforNothingHomestead. All during February, YouTube Chefs will be showing you how they make chili On March 1st at 6pm EST, there will be a live giveaway on Not for Nothing Homestead Channel! #chiliday2023
My contribution to #ChiliSmackdown2023 is my version of Cincinnati Chili. I lived in Cincinnati for 16 years and grew to love the unique brand of chili that they serve there. There are two main fast-food chili parlors, Skyline and Goldstar, and many independent chili parlors that serve the same type of chili.
It is notable for two reasons. First, it is sweeter than many other chilis because some of the spices include cinnamon and cocoa powder. And the famous 5-way method.
Cincinnati Chili is served over spaghetti, (a two-way)
2-way = spaghetti and chili.
3-way = spag, chili, shredded mild cheddar cheese.
4-way = spaghetti, chili, onions OR beans, cheese
5-way = spaghetti, chili, onion AND beans, cheese.
