Enjoy this quick drink recipe and here are all the details that I probably missed in the video!
Also, buy my newly released coffee in collaboration with Wrecking Ball Coffee at
Mint simple syrup:
-1:1 ratio of cane sugar to water
-Approximately 1 cup of fresh mint leaves
Heat water and sugar on stove until sugar is mostly dissolved, add mint leaves and stir until wilted. Turn off heat and set aside for 10-15 minutes to steep. Remove mint leaves and transfer syrup to a jar to cool.
White chocolate sauce:
-1/2 cup half & half
-8oz white chocolate, in small pieces
Heat half & half in stove until just under a summer. Turn down heat and add chocolate pieces, stirring quickly until fully melted. Take off heat and transfer to a storage container to cool.
Mint whipped cream:
-However much heavy whipping cream that your heart desires.
-80-100 grams of mint simple syrup
Whip until forms stiff peaks.
Assembly:
-20 grams mint simple syrup
-20 grams white chocolate sauce
-Double shot of espresso
-Steamed milk of choice
-Spoonful of whipped cream
-Crushed candy cane as a garnish

How to make a Mocha
Extra Pointers
- The video uses a 20oz pitcher, 10oz cup, whole milk and a double shot espresso
- Some chocolates melt easier than others. I recommend a liquid cocoa when making a mocha as it mixes easily.
- Cocoa powder is optional but an interesting thing that you can do is only use cocoa powder instead of chocolate to create a vegan mocha (with an alternative milk ofcourse!).
- The sweetness of a mocha is really personal preference but you want both the espresso and chocolate to work in harmony. Not have one flavor overshadow the other.
- Properly foamed milk is half the battle of good latte art. It's important to not only add the right amount of microfoam but also incorporate that foam throughout the pitcher with a whirlpool motion.

1 frozen banana
1 scoop protein powder
1 tbsp cacao/cocoa powder
1/4 cup oats
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp pbfit
1 tbsp chocolate chips

My name is Mike Jones, and I'm a barista at Third Rail Coffee right by Washington Square Park in New York City. I'm going to teach you some basic coffee-making skills.
Alright I'm gonna show you how to make a Cafe Mocha. Now all this is, is basically a latte or cappuccino with chocolate in it. So you start off with a high quality cocoa. Something that's not too sweet is nice, but just a little bit of sugar so that the cocoa flavor mixes well with the espresso.
In a cafe environment we would take a lot of this cocoa powder and mix it with hot water and have syrup pre-made. But as far as making one drink its easy to just start off with the powder and add a little bit of hot water in there. And then stir it up to make a syrup. Then I'm actually gonna pull the espresso directly over the chocolate, stir it again and then pour just as if with a cappuccino or a latte. So I'm gonna get the shot ready, and the milk and then we'll pour.
Alright, so we pulled the shot right over the chocolate and we;re just gonna incorporate that together.
And then again, our into the same as with a latte. And we'll do a nice Tulip on this one. Alright, that's a Cafe Mocha.
