8 ounce cream cheese (room temp)
1 cup imitation crab
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 green onions

1 tablespoon corn starch
6 tablespoons vinegar
1 cup pineapple juice
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons soy sauce

— I wanted to keep this recipe simple, but feel free to add more seasonings if you’d like!
Alternative ingredients: soy sauce, green onion, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, sriracha, Japanese mayo, etc.

Serving size: 15 pieces
Ingredients
- 1 block (8oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp sugar
- pinch of salt
- 6 crab sticks, roughly chopped (you can substitute lump crab as well)
- 15 wonton wrappers + side of water
Instructions
1. Add the cream cheese, sugar and salt to a bowl and mix until smooth. You can use cream cheese straight out of the refrigerator, but it will be more difficult to mix. That’s why I let it sit out until it’s come to room temperature.
2. Roughly chop the crab and add it to the bowl. Mix again.
3. Lay out your wonton skins and add a tablespoon of filling in the middle. You don’t want too much and you don’t want too little in order for these to have a nice shape. A tablespoon is the perfect amount. Pinch together the opposite ends, then do the same for the remaining two. Then, pinch the four sides and make sure not to leave any gaps. You don’t want the filling to seep out when cooking!
4. Deep fry for about 1 minute until golden brown. You can alternatively brush/spay with oil and air fry.
— I used corn oil to fry these, but you can also use canola or vegetable oil
Serve with sweet chili sauce & enjoy!

Cook time: 20 minutes
For the sweet and sour chili dipping sauce:
1 cup water
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
3 tablespoons ketchup
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon sambal oelek
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons water
For the crab rangoon:
12 wonton wrappers
8 ounces Philadelphia cream cheese
1 1/2 cups crab meat, minced
2 stalk scallions, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Pinch of white pepper
4 cups extra light olive oil, for frying

Crab Rangoon
Crab Rangoon is an authentic Burmese recipe and it has been commercialised by restaurant trader vic of san Francisco. It is made frying mixture of crab stacks, cream cheese, minced siling haba, chili flakes, salt, and sugar wrapped in wonton wrapper. Follow this video to make this scrumptious appetizer snack in your home to make your family members happy.

Crab Rangoon
1 block cream cheese
3 pcs flaked crab sticks
3 pcs minced siling haba
Chili flakes to taste
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
Wonton wrapper
Procedure:
1. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, siling haba, salt and chili flakes. Mix until well combined.
2. Ready wonton wrapper. Get a piece, lay on a flat surface.
3. Wet edges of the wrapper.
4. Put a teaspoonful of the filling on the center.
5. Lift both ends of the wrapper to bring them together. Pinch to seal. Repeat process with the other sides. Set aside.
6. Repeat untill you have used the wrapper.
7. In a pan with hot oil, put wonton one at a time.
8. Deep fry until golden and crispy. When golden, remove from the pan. Set aside.
9. Serve and enjoy immediately.
