How To make Cran Apple Streusel Bread
1 lb Loaf frozen bread dough, or
-1 loaf homemade Wt 1 cn Cinnamon apple pie filling
-(21 oz) 1 c Cranberries, fresh or
-frozen, whole 1 tb Orange juice
1 tb Grated orange
-peel(zest)colored part only 1 ts Lemon juice
1 ts Apple pie spice
Streusel Topping 1/4 c Milk (approx)
3/4 c Walnuts, chopped, divided
-use Glaze, optional 1/4 c Flour, all purpose
1/4 c Sugar
2 tb Brown sugar
1/2 ts Cinnamon, ground
1/4 c Butter, softened
This recipe is shaped like a wreath or individual loaves for gift giving. Cranberries, fresh fruit, nuts and spices combine bright color and a refreshing flavor for a holiday favorite. A nutty streusel topping and a sweet hint of glaze complete the picture. Preliminaries; Thaw frozen bread dough until pliable according to package directions. Fifteen minutes prior to baking, preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix apple pie filling with cranberries, orange juice, orange peel, lemon juice and apple pie spice. Set aside. Prepare Streusel topping (recipe follows). Cut loaf into 3 even pieces. On a lightly floured work surface roll out each piece of dough into a 8 by 7 inch rectangle. Cut the dough with kitchen shears to obtain the correct measurement if needed. Place on baking sheet. Make 2 inch long cuts at 1 inch intervals on both of the 7 inch sides of dough rectangle. Spread 1 cup of cran-apple mixture lengthwise down center third of dough. Top filling with 1/4 cup walnuts. Fold strips diagonally over filling, overlapping strips to give a braided look. Brush dough strips with a little milk and 1/4 cup streusel mix. Repeat with remaining 2 pieces of dough. Let rise for 30 minutes in warm place. bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes, covering with aluminum foil after 20 minutes to prevent over-browning. Remove bread from baking sheet to cool. Bread may be drizzled with glaze, if desired (recipe follows) GLAZE; Mix 1/4 cup powdered sugar with 1 tsp milk; stir until blended. StrEUSEL TOPPING Procedure; In a medium bowl combine flour, sugars and cinnamon; stir until well mixed. Cut in butter using a pastry cutter until butter is the size of small peas. Use as directed above.....

This is a beautiful and delicious five-ingredient dessert that could not be easier.
Note: this is an apple cranberry crisp and NOT an apple-cranberry crumble. The main difference is that a crumble has oats whereas the crips does not have oats.
This recipe is an amazing autumn recipe and a perfect way to use up your apples and cranberries. This would be a perfect dessert for Thanksgiving as it captures all of the flavours of fall.

RECIPE: Apple Cranberry Crisp
Printable Recipe:
SERVES 6
Ingredients:
• ¾ cup (165 g) packed brown sugar
• ½ cup (75 g) all-purpose flour
• ½ cup (115 g) butter, very cold from the fridge or freezer
• 6 medium apples (any type - or a mix)
• ⅓ cup dried unsweetened cranberries
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375F.
2. To make the topping, stir the brown sugar with the flour in a large bowl. Grate in the cold butter using the large holes of a box grater. Toss the mixture to combine it and coat all the butter with the dry mixture.
3. Peel and slice the apples. Put the slices into a 9-inch pie plate (or any similar-sized baking dish) and stir in the cranberries. Sprinkle the butter mixture evenly overtop.
4. Place the pie plate on the baking sheet, then bake 35 to 45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly at the edges. Serve warm with ice cream or pouring cream.

Makes 12 muffins
Ingredients:
For the muffins:
2 Apples
1 Egg, large
1/2 cup (120ml) Milk
1/3 cup (80ml) vegetable oil
1¼ cups (160g) Flour
2 teaspoons Baking powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt
3/4 cup (150g) Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
For the crumble:
1/4 cup (60g) Butter, cold
1/2 cup (65g) Flour
1/2 cup (100g) brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F (175C). Line a 12-cup muffin pan with muffins liners, spray the cups with oil (optional) and set aside.
2. Make the muffins: In a bowl mix milk, oil, egg and vanilla extract. Set aside.
3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
4. Peel the apples and cut into small chunks. Place apple chunks into the flour mixture and toss well to ensure the apples are well coated.
5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and mix until combined.
6. Scoop the batter into muffin cups until 3/4 full.
7. Make the crumble: Combine the ingredients for the crumble topping together in a small bowl and crumble together using your finger tips.
8. Sprinkle some crumble on top of each muffin batter. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Let cool before serving.

Looking for an easy and delicious fall dessert for Thanksgiving? This Apple Cranberry Crumble Pie is sure to please. Filled with juicy apples, plump cranberries, and warm cinnamon spice, it combines some of my favourite fall flavours in one perfect pie. The best part is that it is so simple to make, even a beginner baker will have no trouble trying their hand at pie-making. To simplify things, I am using a store-bought pie crust and topping the pie with a delicious buttery oat crumble.

1 Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crusts
Filling:
5 cups (1 kg) peeled and sliced baking apples (see note)
1 cup (115 g) fresh or frozen cranberries
1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
1/2 cup (100 g) packed light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons (12 g) all-purpose flour
Crumble:
1 cup (100 g) regular rolled oats
2/3 cup (100 g) all-purpose flour
1/3 cup (70 g) packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 tablespoons (90 g) unsalted butter, melted
Notes: I like using a combination of two apples, Granny Smiths and Honey Crisps.
