This Crockpot Red Beans recipe is so good! It's almost a cajun red beans without the meat because I've learned how to budget on a low income. Meal planning for one is made so easy with this simple crockpot freezer meals. A meal Dave Ramsey style is basically a slow cooker meal. Enjoy the video.
INGREDIENTS
1 lb of Red Beans
2 Cups of Coconut Soup Base
2 Cups of Chicken Broth
1 Cup of Water
3 Bay Leaves
3 Roasted Red Peppers
Adobe to taste
Smoked Paraika to taste
Minced Onions (dried)
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Soak red beans overnight (or at least 8 hours)
2. Add beans and all ingredients to crockpot
3. Cook on low for 10 -12 hours
4. Let cool, bag and freeze

Ingredients:
1 pound of light red or dark red beans
7 cups of water (or stock if you’re omitting bullion)
2 cubanelle peppers bell peppers, roughly chopped
1 onion, roughly chopped
5 1/2 teaspoons chicken or beef bullion powder
2 teaspoons kosher salt (adjust at the end of more salt is needed)
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoons coarsely ground black pepper
1 pack of sazon (optional)
3/4 cup sofrito (optional)
1 - 2 tablespoons liquid smoke
2 - 3 cloves of garlic minced (I used a little hand chopper)
2 smoked turkey legs

Slow Cooker Red Beans and Rice | I Heart Recipes
Hey ya’ll! Here is an awesome recipe for Slow Cooker Red Beans and Rice:
This southern style red beans and rice recipe is slow cooked to perfection. For this recipe I will be using smoked turkey, which is just as delicious as my other recipes where I used smoked pork. This is a delicious dish to serve as a side or main course!

Timestamps for video:
0:15 - Chop the onion.
0:20 - Chop the celery.
0:30 - Open the package of smoked turkey.
0:45 - Add the onion and celery to the slow cooker.
0:50 - Add minced garlic.
0:55 - Sprinkle in the seasoning.
1:05 - Sort and rinse the beans.
1:18 - Add the turkey to the slow cooker.
1:28 - Add the beans to the slow cooker.
1:37 - Add bay leaves.
1:42 - Add water.
1:53 - Remove the thyme leaves from the stem.
2:00 - Add the thyme to the slow cooker.
2:10 - Cover and cook for six hours.
2:24 - Remove the bay leaves.
2:30 - Remove the bones.
2:40 - Give everything a quick stir.
2:44 - Butter a small bowl.
2:54 - Fill the bowl with rice.
3:01 - Dish out the beans.
3:09 - Invert the bowl of rice and empty it into the dish.
3:16 - Dish out more beans around the rice.
3:30 - Top with dried parsley.
