How To make Crockpot Grains

brown rice, 2 oz, uncooked

onions, chopped

cup
green bell pepper, chopped

carrots, finely chopped

kidney beans, canned, drained

oz
tomato sauce
1
pound
tomatoes, canned, chopped, drained, reserve liquid
1 1/2
cup
corn, canned, drained or frozen
1
teaspoon
oregano, dried
1
teaspoon
basil, dried
1/2
teaspoon
garlic powder
1

salt, to taste
1

pepper, to taste

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a crockpot. Add water to reserved tomato liquid to equal 2 1/2 cups. Stir into grain mixture. Cover and cook on low setting 8 hours. Stir before serving.
Serves 8 as a side dish and 4 - 6 as a filling main course.
You can use any combination of grains. Just use about 1 cupful altogether.
