Easy, delicious dinner in no time and effort, pork chops in mushroom sauce!
Top quality Dutch oven:
Recipe:
- 4 pork chops about an inch/2,5cm thick
- Salt, pepper and smoked paprika to season the chops
- 1 onion
- 2-3 garlic cloves
- 1lbs/450g mushrooms
- 2-3 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken sauce
- 1,5 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon dry oregano
- 0,7 cup/70g parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper for seasoning
- Vegetable oil to saute the mushrooms
Saute the mushrooms for 2-3 minutes and then add the onions and cook for 2-3 more minutes until the mushrooms are golden and all the liquid has evaporated, add the garlic and saute for 1-2 more minutes. Place the pork chops in and finish in a preheated oven 356F/180C for 15 minutes with the lid on and then 15 minutes without the lid. I like to thicken the sauce at the end with 1 or 2 teaspoons corn starch mixed with water. Served with mashed potatoes with bacon bits on top and mixed cabbage salat.
