This curried cabbage recipe will turn anyone into a cabbage fan. I learned how to make this dish back in 2009 from my friend Preeti (look her up at We were in nutrition college together and a bunch of us went to Preeti's house for an Indian cooking class. This cabbage recipe wasn't part of the actual class, she just pulled it out of her fridge because it was leftover from a family dinner the night before.
Although everything we made in that class was super delicious, this was the standout recipe for me. She explained how she made it, and I've been making it ever since.
In this video, I'm also showing you how to easily turn this into a complete dinner by steaming some salmon in the same pot. If you want a carbohydrate, you can also steam some rice or enjoy this with mashed potatoes.
If you're looking for a flavorful and healthy side dish, this curried cabbage is a great option. It's packed with flavor and is easy and quick to make.
Here's my method for making homemade ghee. It's easier than you think!

I'm Paula. I'm a former professional cook and overall eating enthusiast.
I started this channel because I love making dinner and I love eating dinner.. but mostly it's because all I've ever wanted in life is to have my own cooking show. When I didn't get a callback after submitting my tape to Food Network in 2003, I put that dream to rest for a while. Until I clued in, I can do it myself on YouTube!
I love sharing the tips I've learned from professional kitchens and tidbits from my holistic nutrition education. But mostly I just want to show you how to make dinner. (See what I did there?) ????
My cooking style is simple but flavourful. I cook with a lot of veggies but I'm not vegetarian. For me, a typical dinner is plant-forward, budget-friendly, non-fussy, and really delicious. As a step-mom, I make a lot of family-friendly comfort food, as well as a lot of simple, realistic dinners for one (or two).
