How To make Dilly Ham Balls
1 lb Ground, fully cooked ham
1/2 c Dry bread crumbs
1/4 c Finely chopped green onions
3 tb Finely chopped fresh dill,
- or 3 tsp. dried dill, - divided 1/4 c Milk
1 Egg, lightly beaten
1 ts Dijon mustard
1/2 ts Pepper, divided
2 tb Butter or margarine
2 tb Vegetable oil
2 tb All-purpose flour
1 c Water
1 c Sour cream (8-oz.)
Hot cooked noodles In a bowl, combine ham, cread crumbs, onions, 1 tb fresh dill (or 1 tsp. spoon dried), milk, egg, mustard and 1/4 tsp. pepper; mix well. Shape into 1-inch balls.
In a large skillet, heat 1 tb. butter and 1 tb. oil. Brown ham balls, adding remaining butter and oil as needed. Remove ham balls to a serving dish; cover and keep warm. Pour ham drippings into a saucepan; blend in flour. Gradually add water and stir until smooth. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Add sour cream and remaining dill and pepper; heat through, but do not boil. Pour over the ham balls. Serve over noodles.

ORIENTAL HAM & BEEF BALLS (Croquettes) **best ever!**
RECIPE
Serves 4
375g cooked ham, finely chopped (in food processor)
375g minced beef
1/2 cup finely chopped shallots
1 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
2 large eggs , lightly beaten
5 tablespoons milk
oil for frying (I use olive oil - you can also use vegetable oil)
1/2 firmly packed brown sugar
6 tablespoons water
6 tablespoons vinegar (not shown on the video)
3 tablespoons soy sauce
In a large bowl combine the ham, beef, shallots, breadcrumbs, eggs and milk.
Shape the balls into 4cm balls.
Het the oil in a frying pan over moderate heat (approx 1 min)
Cook the meatballs on high heat for a pro 1 minute, turning them over at all times. this should take approx 5 mins.
Meanwhile, combine in a bowl, brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, water and mustard.
Pour this mixture over the meatballs, reduce the heat and simmer for 5-7mins. Turn the balls once or twice in this time. If sauce thickens, add extra water. Serve with rice and green vegetables.

Ingredients for making a cheeseball:
1 package of cream cheese soften
1 cup of shredded marble cheese
1 cup of shredded old white cheddar
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 cup of bacon bits
1/2 cup chopped green onions
Fresh parsley
Instructions for making a cheese ball:
- You’ll want to start with a package of cream cheese that’s room temperature so it will be easier to mix
- Loosely stir it with a fork just to break it up a bit then add shredded marble cheese, shredded old cheddar, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, bacon bits and chopped green onion
- Stir everything together by kind of mashing the other ingredients into the softened cream cheese with a fork
- This might take a little while but hey, it’s the only real effort you have to put into this recipe
- Now lay out a large piece of plastic wrap on your working surface
- Sprinkle more shredded cheese in the centre as well as some chopped, fresh parsley this will be the kind of crust on the outside of your cheeseball
- Once you have a fairly even layer, pour the cream cheese mixture as close to the centre as you can
- Use the plastic wrap to shape the cheese by pushing it together then rotating and pushing again until you have a ball shape
- Next tightly wrap your cheese ball in the plastic wrap, twisting the ends to ensure it holds it’s shape
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until you’re ready to serve with your favourite crackers, veggies or bread
