How To make Downhome Cafe Banana Bread
1/2 c Butter
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs, beaten
4 Bananas, finely crushed
1 ts Lemon juice
1 1/2 c Flour
1 1/2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Vanilla
Cream together butter and sugar. Mash bananas. Add lemon juice to mashed bananas. Beat eggs. Add eggs and crushed bananas, to the creamed butter and sugar. Combine well. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Keeps well, refrigerated. Yield 1 Loaf.

These are the best banana nut muffins you will ever eat. I'll put mine up against anyone else's any day of the world. This is a great way to use your ripe bananas and keep from throwing them away just because they are a little soft.
This is an easy recipe that I believe is good for beginners. It's pretty hard to mess these up as long as you get them done without burning them. Keep an eye on them. They shouldn't fall just by opening the oven door occasionally.
This recipe will make about 24 muffins or can be baked in a single loaf pan, if you are in the mood for banana nut bread. It will take about an hour to bake in a loaf pan.
Be careful. If you take them out of the oven before they're done they will fall every time!

Muffin Ingredients:
4 or 5 - Ripe bananas
2 Cups - Flour
1/2 Cup - Chopped pecans (or other nuts)
1 Tablespoon - Baking powder
1/2 Teaspoon - Cinnamon
1/2 Cup - Ground Flax seed
1 Cup - Sugar
1 Stick - Real butter
2 - Eggs
1 Teaspoon - Real vanilla
1/2 Teaspoon - Salt
Crumb Topping Ingredients:
1/4 Cup - Flour
1/4 Cup - Sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoons - Real Butter
1/4 Teaspoon - Cinnamon

Banana Bread, Depression Recipe. Banana bread is a slightly sweet moist nostalgic treat that will fill your mind with wonderful memories while it delights you tastes buds and fills your belly without breaking the bank.
This recipe will make 1 loaf or about 2 dozen muffins. You can use very ripe bananas in this recipe. It is easy enough for beginners. Banana bread dates back to the mid 1800’s and became popular in the United States in the 1930’s during the Great Depression. It was also popular in the 1950’s after the recipe was reintroduced by Chiquita.
This video is for basic banana bread but it is easy to really dress it up with a few nuts and some crumb topping. A little cinnamon really compliments the flavor. Enjoy it warm with a little butter or toast the leftovers for a quick breakfast.

4cps.Milk
1 1/3 cp. Sugar
6 tbs. Cornstarch
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 Eggs
2 Egg yolks
4 tbs. Butter
4 tsp. Vanilla extract
4 large Bananas, sliced
1 container Whipped Topping or homemade
1 large box Vanilla Wafers(reserve 1/2 cup crushed wafers for topping)

Banana Pudding the Easiest Homemade - Family Favorite - No Bake - No Eggs - The Hillbilly Kitchen
Easy Homemade Banana Pudding – No bake – No Eggs - Banana pudding is a favorite dessert for all occasions even a weeknight dinner. Everyone has their favorite variation, and this is Bret’s.
It is simple and easy to make with basic ingredients we all have in the kitchen. It is the homemade version of the old recipe made with cooked boxed pudding. You can have this homemade Banana Pudding made from start to finish in about 15 minutes. It is delicious warm or cold. If you want to serve it warm just let it sit 10 or 15 minutes so the pudding soaks into the cookies. If you want to serve it cold make it the 4 hours or the day before and put it in the fridge.
You can garnish your pudding with a few fresh cookies and slices of banana or a little whipped cream just before serving but it is delicious all by it’s self.

4 – 5 Ripe Bananas
8 ounces Vanilla Wafers
2 cups Milk
½ cup Sugar
3 tablespoons Corn Starch
