How To make Garbanzo Pizza
Garbanzo beans (chick-peas) Oregano Basil Rosemary Mozzerella cheese Tomatoes (or tomato sauce) Recipe by: David Dmytryshyn djd%scgrp@uunet.UU.NET 1. Bring the garbanzo beans to the point of readiness for putting in the
food-processor. (i.e. open the can, or soak overnight and cook). 2. Puree the beans, adding water to make them smooth and spreadable.
3. Grease enough pan space to accommodate however much garbanzo beans
you've pureed. Spread out the pureed beans on the pan(s) about pizza thickness and cover liberally with a GOOD olive oil. Now cover with with the remaining ingredients, or with whatever else is in the fridge and might go well with it. 4. Bake at about 190 ?C for a half hour or until just prior to burning
commences. You should be able to cut pieces. If it's still rather mushy, put it in a bit longer. Author's Notes: Here's a recipe I tried yesterday, a slight modification of something I saw done by the Frugal Gourmet, Jeff Smith, on PBS. It again follows my no amounts given approach to cooking. This might work with a combination of tofu and garbanzo beans as well. I discovered that the tofu/garbanzo mixture worked nicely in the tolafel recipe I submitted earlier. (Roughly equal proportions). Difficulty : easy. Precision : no need to measure. -----

NO OVEN GLUTEN-FREE CHICKPEA BREAD⎜VEGAN HIGH PROTEIN
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 cup of cooked and drained chickpea
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/4 cup of plant-based milk or water
1/4 cup (plus one tablespoon, if needed) of cornstarch
1 teaspoon of baking powder
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
Mixed seeds
CUPS MEASUREMENT:
1 CUP: 250 ml
1/2 CUP: 125 ml
1/3 CUP: 83 ml
1/4 CUP: 62 ml
METHOD:
Add the chickpeas to a blender along with the garlic powder, salt, olive oil, and milk, blend it for about two minutes.
Remove the blended chickpeas from the blender, add them to a bowl, add the remainder of the ingredients except for the seeds. Mix well until it's well incorporated and lump-free.
Cover it and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Grease an 18cm skillet, place a sheet of parchment paper on the bottom of the skillet, grease the pepper as well, and pour the chickpea batter, smooth the surface with the back of your spoon, and sprinkle some mixed seeds on top.
Cover it and put it on the stovetop at the lowest flame possible for 35 to 40 minutes. This time may vary. Alternatively, you can bake it in a preheated oven for 30 minutes at 180℃.
Flip your bread with the help of a plate, place it back in the skillet, this time upside down, cover again and let it cook for 5 to 7 minutes more.
Remove your bread from the stove, remove it from the skillet, place it on a cooling rack and wait until it reaches room temperature before slicing it.
