1/2 cup brown sugar
1 envelope dry Italian salad dressing mix
1 teaspoon celery salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ginger
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup water
4 pounds ribs (pork or beef)
Combine brown sugar, salad dressing mix, celery salt, ginger, ketchup, vinegar and water. Place ribs in a Dutch oven and bake at 350 for 2 hours. Baste ribs with sauce every 30 minutes.

These Salt & Pepper Ribs are really delicious! You can make this dish with either spare ribs or prime ribs. According to various sources found on Google, prime ribs, also known as back ribs are cut from the rib area of the pig's loin, and the meat is juicy and tender. Spare ribs are the lower section of ribs around the belly are are a little fattier than prime ribs. Consider adding some five spice powder to take the flavour to the next level. If you don't want to deep-fry the ribs, air-fry them for 15 minutes at 180C or 356F, followed by 5 mins at 200C or 392F. Happy cooking!

1 piece star anise
1 piece of cinnamon bark (5 - 7 cm)
1 thumb size young ginger - minced
2 pieces shallots minced
4 cloves of garlic - minced

2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
2 tablespoons of low sodium light soy sauce
2 tablespoons of premium dark sauce
