A cocktail from the golden 50's in California. Legend has it, this was created by a bartender in El Dorado, California for a newly engaged couple who named it after their car. WHile this cocktail does not have some of the normal culprits in the Stinkers we have known before, there is always a danger when dealing with so much sweet liqueur. Let' see why this cocktail has been sidelined for decades and not the Cadillac of desert cocktails.

Many believe that the Cadillac Margarita we know today originated with the legendary Cadillac Bar in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico
Another story places it’s creation at Spago Beverly Hills and in the purview of Wolfgamg Puck. Again, like with most cocktails we’ll probably never know. Regardless of how it cropped up, the Cadillac Margarita became the symbol of Lucury in many bars. If you ordered it you’d know thet you’d be getting a quality drink: 100% agave Tequila, not mixto, high end orange liqueur, etc. but over the years with the addition of fresh ingredients it’s largely become obsolete. We’l we think thats a bunch of hooey! Bring Back The Cadillac Margarita!
When the bar opened a location across the border, in San Antonio, Texas, in 1974, it became a sensation. In short order, there were Cadillac Bars in Houston, Dallas and Atlanta
