Full recipe for Baked vegetables with white sauce
Prep time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 20 mins
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
• Butter 3 tbsp
• Refined flour (maida) 3 tbsp
• Milk 200 ml
• Salt to taste
• Pepper powder a pinch
• Nutmeg powder a pinch
• Processed cheese 200 gm
• Olive oil 1 tbsp
• Carrot ½ cup (diced & blanched)
• Mushroom ½ cup (diced)
• Green peas ½ cup (blanched)
• Sweet corn ½ cup (blanched)
• French beans ½ cup (diced & blanched)
• Capsicum ½ cup (diced)
• Broccoli florets ½ cup (blanched)
• Salt to taste
• Black pepper a pinch
• Oregano 1 tsp
• Red Chilli flakes 1 tsp
Method:
• Heat butter in a pan on medium heat, add flour, stir and cook well ensuring the colour doesn’t changes a lot.
• Add the milk slowly and gradually and keep whisking to avoid lumps.
• Add salt & pepper, nutmeg powder and grate processed cheese, mix well and cook further for 2-3 minutes, make sure the sauce is silky smooth without any lumps.
• Set a wok on medium high heat, add olive oil add the veggies, salt & pepper, oregano and chilli flakes. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, add the freshly prepared white sauce, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
• Pour the veggies with white sauce in a baking dish and grate some processed cheese over it.
• Preheat the oven for 10 mins and bake it at 180°C for 10-12 minutes.
• Serve hot with freshly toasted garlic bread.
For garlic bread
Ingredients:
• Melted butter ½ cup
• Garlic 4 tbsp (chopped)
• Fresh coriander 1 tbsp (chopped)
• Garlic bread 1 loaf
Method:
• Mix the melted butter with finely chopped garlic and fresh coriander leaves.
• Slice the garlic bread loaf diagonally and apply the freshly made garlic butter on the bread slice surface.
• Heat a grill pan or a normal pan on medium heat, toast the garlic bread on both the sides until crisp and golden brown.
MASHED GREEN BANANAS
Ingredients for preparing Mashed Green Bananas include:-
- 3 Green Bananas ( I boiled 5 even though you need only 3 for this recipe)
- 1 pot wide enough to contain 3 Green Bananas to be boiled for 20 minutes on a medium high heat, enough water to submerge completely the Bananas in the pot. 1 tsp of Salt and 1 tbsp of cooking Oil to be added to that rolling boil. After 20 minutes, drain off all the water, transfer the Bananas into a bowl suitable for mashing, then proceed to mash and season Green Bananas.
TO SEASON IT YOU WILL NEED:-
- 1 tsp of Butter/Margarine
- 1-2 tbsps of Milk (I used 2%milk)
- 1 tsp of Chicken Base Concentrate
- 1/2 tsp of Green Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp of Parsley Flakes
Mix and Mash till the consistency of mashed potatoes is achieved. You will then be ready to serve and enjoy it!

AMAZING GLUTEN-FREE BALLS MADE WITH A SUPERFOOD INGREDIENT! & A BONUS RECIPE!
My gluten-free cabbage balls are super healthy, delicious, and fun to make: They use our beloved new ingredient, the green banana biomass and as a bonus recipe, I have here for you an amazing tartar sauce recipe so you can dip your cabbage balls in it and elevate this delicious balls to a whole new level of yumminess!
CABBAGE BALLS:
2 cups of thinly sliced cabbage
1 thinly sliced onion
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon of green banana biomass
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh coriander
1/4 cup of rice flour
1 teaspoon of yellow curry powder
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
A few drops of lemon
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
METHOD:
CABBAGE BALLS:
Add olive oil to a skillet, when hot, add the cabbage and onions, saute for 5 to 7 minutes over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic, saute for 40 seconds. Turn off the heat. Reserve.
Preheat the oven at 356F / 180C.
Add all the ingredients for the cabbage balls to a bowl, along with the sauteed vegetables, mix to combine, and form either balls or patties. The mixture can be a bit too hard or a bit too wet, control that by adding more or less flour.
Add the cabbage balls to a baking sheet, put them in the oven, and let them bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
TARTAR SAUCE:
Add all the ingredients for the tartar sauce to a bowl, mix well, reserve.
TARTAR SAUCE:
1 tablespoon of green banana biomass
3 tablespoons of unsweetened vegan yogurt or mayo
2 tablespoons of grated carrots
3 tablespoons of grated pickles
1 teaspoon of horseradish
1/2 teaspoon of mustard
Minced chili, to taste
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley to taste
1/4 teaspoon sugar

AMAZING GLUTEN-FREE GBB CABBAGE BALLS & BONUS RECIPE! Recipe by Chef Jana Pinheiro
Vegetable Cheesy Bake | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana
A scrumptious cheesy dish perfect for a filling dinner.
VEGETABLE CHEESY BAKE
Ingredients
12-15 French beans, finely chopped
2 medium carrots, finely chopped
2 large potatoes cut into batons
green peas
8-10 fresh button mushrooms, chopped
3 teaspoons butter
1 large onion,
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder to taste
2 cups White Sauce
½ cup grated cheddar cheese
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4.
2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan, add chopped garlic 1 tbsp, saute and add the 2 medium onion chopped and sauté on medium heat till translucent.
3. Add 1 medium potato, chopped. soaked, 1 carrot chopped. mix well.
4. Add 1 tbsp broccoli florets, green peas, French beans chopped the tomatoes and sauté for one minute. Add the French beans, carrots, potatoes, capsicums and mushrooms chopped and sauté for three to four minutes.
5. Add the salt, white pepper powder and mix well. Add 3 sprig of thyme. mix well.
6. Beat and add ½ cup cheese sauce. mix well. Add 2 tbsps corn kernels. mix well.
7. Add 1 cup cheese grated. Switch off heat.
8. Transfer the mixture into an oven-proof dish and sad breadcrumbs ½ cup, sprinkle ½ cup processed cheese on top. grate and add ¼ cup cheddar cheese.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or till the cheese turns golden brown.
10. Serve hot with bread.
