How To make Grilled Jerk Pork Chops
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon dried thyme -- crumbled
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
2 rib (l/2-inch-thick) pork chops (each
-- about 4 ounces)
Prepare grill.
Mince and mash onion to a coarse paste with thyme, sugar, salt, and spices. Pat pork chops dry and rub all over with jerk paste. Grill pork on an oiled rack set 5 to 6 inches over glowing coals 4 minutes on each side, or until just cooked through. (Alternatively, pork may be grilled in a hot well-seasoned ridged grill pan over moderately high heat.) Serves 2.
A seasoning mix that originated in Jamaica, jerk is popular throughout the Caribbean in the preparation of meats such as pork and chicken for grilling. Jerk seasoning typically includes chilies, onion, allspice, and thyme.

1 1/2 - 2 tablespoons wet Jerk marinade (I used a mixture of Grace, Walkerswood and Jerk Central)
2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 tsp Ginger powder
1 1/2 tablespoons Jamaica Valley Powdered Jerk seasoning
????????Please remember that Pork Chops are safe to eat at internal temperature 145F However you may cook it to a higher temperature to suit your taste. If Boneless pork chops are cooked way beyond internal temperature of 150 they may get very dry.

These savory, jerk pork chops can be thrown together in minutes, Serve it with any of your favorite sides and experience a little bit of Jamaica.
Jerk is a style of cooking native to Jamaica, in which meat is dry or wet marinate— this is a hot spice mixture with aromatic, spices, and herbs.
The meat is normally, but not limited to, chicken or pork.
To achieve a flavorful juicy authentic jerk taste, there are various alternatives and ingredients.
In this tutorial, I will show you how I transform regular pork chops into a flavorful savory jerk entree with these ingredients.
