Eat Like A Local With Andy Roy in San Francisco
Everyone has seen those food shows where celebrity mega-chefs tell you they're going to show you where all the locals eat in a city they've never been to before. But if you ever actually talk to locals from that city, you'll quickly learn that they're rarely uncovering the city's best.
So pro skateboarder Andy Roy is back, here to teach you how to eat like a true local in San Francisco (last time, he taught us how to cook in prison). First stop is Tommy's Joynt for some brisket, baked beans, and caprese salad. Next we head to Potrero Park in the Mission for a real cookout with the homies. Then we cap the day off down the street at Bender's with some White Russians and tater tots. Welcome to Andy Roy's San Francisco.

Sweetheart Steak with Peppercorn Red Wine Jus - Romantic Dinner #3
SUBSCRIBE TO MY NEW CHANNEL ON FISHING. LAUNCHES TODAY. DON'T MISS OUT It's called Fish Hook:
Please share this video on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or Reddit.
HERE IS THE RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
2 rib eyes pressed against each other so that they make the shape of a heart. Skewer steaks diagonal like an arrow going through the thickness of it.
2 teaspoons black peppercorns, coarsely crushed (see Cooks' Notes)
2 teaspoons kosher salt plus more for seasoning
1 tablespoon vegetable or olive oil
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into tablespoon pieces, divided
2 (4-inch) sprigs fresh rosemary
5 sprigs fresh thyme
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1/2 cup medium-bodied dry red wine (such as Chianti, Rioja, or Merlot)
1 cup low-sodium beef broth (original recipe said chicken broth but I recommend beef)
EQUIPMENT:
An ovenproof 12-inch heavy skillet
INSTRUCTIONS:
Let steak sit at room temperature 15 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 450°F.
Dry steak. Season with pepper and salt.
Heat skillet with oil and 1 tab of the butter on med heat until butter melts.
Add rosemary, thyme and garlic and cook over med heat stirring for 1 minute.
Brown steak in seasoning, about 3 min each side.
Place skillet in oven and cook steak until thermometer reads 110°F for medium-rare, about 5 minutes (or 120°F for medium, about 10 minutes).
Let steak rest on plate for 10 minutes.
Pour oil off pan, leaving seasoning in skillet. Add wine and boil over med-high heat scraping brown bits, until reduced by half, about 2 minutes. Add chicken broth and any meat juices from platter and boil until reduced by half, 5 to 6 minutes. Whisk in remaining 2 tablespoons butter until incorporated, then season with salt and keep warm.
Drizzle with the jus.
COOKS' NOTES:
Coarsely crush the peppercorns with a mortar and pestle, or put the peppercorns in a resealable plastic bag and coarsely crush them with the bottom of a heavy skillet, meat pounder, or rolling pin.
When browning the steak, don't move it around. Let it cook undisturbed (only flip it once), so that a nice crust forms.
