Brittle With a HAZELNUT & LIQUEUR Twist | Hazelnut Frangelico Brittle Recipe
Join Kate, as she creates a delightful hazelnut Frangelico brittle, perfect for elevating your holiday cookie tins, holiday cocktail parties, or as a special gift for yourself or a friend. This twist on the classic peanut brittle introduces the rich flavors of hazelnuts, reminiscent of everyone's favorite spreadable treat, Nutella.
2 cups sugar
½ cup water
1 cup corn syrup
2 cups raw, crushed hazelnuts
½ teaspoon salt
2 ounces butter
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon Frangelico
1-½ teaspoons baking soda, sifted
Have all of your ingredients ready before getting started.
Combine the sugar and water and corn syrup in your saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring.
Continue cooking to 239 degrees, stirring only occasionally.
Add the hazelnuts, and cook to 290 degrees, stirring constantly.
Add the butter and the salt. Cook until temp reaches 310.
Remove from the heat and sift in the baking soda. Then add the vanilla extract, and Frangelico and mix well.
Pour the mixture onto a cookie sheet that has been lined with oiled parchment paper. Spread as thinly as possible.
If desired, when the brittle cools to a plastic consistency, pull into thin sheets to make a more delicate candy.
When cooled completely, break into pieces, dip in dark chocolate, and garnish with more crushed hazelnuts.

HAZELNUT OLD FASHIONED | Cocktail Recipe
How do you make a hazelnut old fashioned?
An old fashioned cocktail is a great drink, it's simple to make and so easy to tweak slightly to get a totally new cocktail. You can make a coffee old fashioned, an almond old fashioned, a classic old fashioned, or even a hazelnut old fashioned!
And that's what I'm making this week, a hazelnut old fashioned. This nutty old fashioned twist uses Frangelico instead of sugar syrup. Frangelico is a really nice, sweet italian liqueur which kind of tastes like a hazelnut pudding and it adds a really nice rich sweetness to the cocktail.
So let me show you how to make a hazelnut old fashioned in this week's whiskey cocktail recipe!

I'm a total whiskey nerd and this channel is all about Whiskey, Whisky, Bourbon, Rye, Pot Still Whiskey and Single Malt Whiskey. I'm always on the hunt for the best whiskey and love making whiskey review videos. My passion is for Irish whiskey, but I'm open to looking for the best Bourbon or the best scotch too!
I'm an Irishman, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying whiskeys from all around the world, from Kentucky bourbon to Japanese single malts. I also love making cocktails, especially whiskey cocktails (or whisky cocktails) and really enjoy taking a classic recipe and adding my own twist to it, or making simple, 3 ingredient cocktails

Frangelico and Francesca Hazelnut Liqueur Review
Frangelico, is a very well known Hazelnut liqueur, when you think of
a hazelnut liqueur Frangelico is usually the first thing that comes to mind.
Francesca I don't think is very well known. so I decided since it was there
next to the Frangelico I'd pick that up and from there I decided to do
a comparison video, not so much to see who's better but to see what
both bring to a cocktail. To me Frangelico has a lot more flavor than just
Hazelnuts you get nice Elder berry flavors with hints of vanilla and other
flavors. With Francesca you get a nice more kicked up Hazelnut,
with light vanilla notes to it. It's also 21% abv 1% higher than
Frangelico.
In a cocktail though Francesca will bring a much heavier hazelnut drive,
where as Frangelico will bring Hazelnut tones, with the elder berries and such
balancing it out. Either way both are pretty good Hazelnut Liqueurs.

All about Frangelico.
If anyone knows who creates Francesca let me know so we can help others learn about it.
