How To make Hoisin Chicken
1 ts Fresh thyme leaves -OR-
1/2 ts -Dried thyme leaves
3 tb Hoisin sauce
2 tb Rice wine
1 tb Olive oil
4 Chicken breast halves, boned
MIX THE MARINADE INGREDIENTS together and rub each chicken breast on both sides. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature or for 1 hour in the refrigerator. If refrigerated, bring to room temperature before grilling. When the grill is hot or when the charcoal turns ash white, quickly grill the chicken breasts on both sides, being careful not to overcook them.

The look of this dish may not be perfect, but the taste certainly is amazing! serve it with rice or just make a wrap with it. either way, try!
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts
2 leeks
0.5 cm ginger root
3 cloves garlic
Small bunch fresh coriander
1 spring onion
3 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
Half teaspoon corn flour
10ml cold water
20 ml Chicken stock
Method:
Chop the ginger
Chop the garlic
Place on a dish for when cooking
Slice spring onion
Place on a dish for garnish
Slice leeks into thin slices and place on a dish for when cooking
Cut chicken breasts into medium threads and place on a dish for later
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in the wok until smoking hot
Add garlic and ginger and fry few seconds until aromatic
Add the chicken to the wok
Stir-fry for 5 minutes
Add the leeks to the wok and stir-fry for 2 minutes
Add the hoisin sauce and stir
Add chicken stock
Cook for further 2 minutes
Thicken the sauce by using corn flour and water mixture
Bring to the boil
Transfer onto a dish, garnish and serve

This tender, delicious, yummy chicken glazed with Hoisin sauce and quickly sauteed with vegetables is perfect for days meant for quick Chinese.
CHICKEN IN HOISIN SAUCE
Ingredients
600 grams chicken thigh boneless, cut into 1 inch pieces
¼ cup hoisin sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsps brown sugar
1 tbsp white vinegar
6-8 garlic cloves, chopped
2 tbsps + ¼ cup corn flour
1 tsp red chilli flakes
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
3 tbsps sesame oil
1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
2 spring onion bulbs, finely chopped
1 small yellow capsicum, cut into 1 inch pieces
3 tbsps chopped spring onion greens + for garnish
Toasted white sesame seeds for garnish
Method
1. To make hoisin mixture, mix together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, white vinegar, garlic, 2 tbsps corn flour, red chilli flakes, salt, and crushed black peppercorns in a bowl.
2. Take chicken in another bowl. Add salt, crushed black peppercorns, 1 tbsp sesame oil, and remaining corn flour and mix well.
3. Heat remaining sesame oil in a non-stick wok. Add the chicken and sauté on high heat for 3-4 minutes. Drain the chicken pieces on an absorbent paper.
4. Heat the oil remaining in the pan, add ginger and sauté for a minute. Add spring onion bulbs and mix well. Add the hoisin mixture and mix, cook till the mixture thickens.
5. Add ½ cup water and mix till well combined. Add the chicken pieces and mix till well coated with the sauce and continue to cook for 4-5 minutes.
6. Add yellow capsicum and spring onion greens and sauté for a few seconds.
7. Serve hot garnished with spring onion greens and toasted white sesame seeds.

Ingredients
500g Chicken Thighs (skinned)
2 tbsp Hoisin sauce
1 tbsp Soy sauce
1 tsp Sesame oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
Method
Mix together the sesame oil, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, salt and pepper in a bowl.
Then add the chicken and thoroughly coat it with the mixture.
Cover and allow to marinate for 2hrs or overnight.
Place on a well-oiled tray and place in a preheated 200degC oven for 35mins or until cooked through.
Serve.
