How To make Italian Sausage Spaghetti Sauce
2 lb Italian sausage
1 c Dried parsley
1 tb Garlic, finely chopped
1/2 c Olive oil
1 ts Red cayenne pepper
1 c Plain flour
3 tb Lea & Perrins
2 c Onions, finely chopped
1 c Celery, finely chopped
1/4 ts Dried mint
1/2 c Bell pepper, finely chopped
3 c Tomato sauce
2 c Water
1 x Salt, to taste
2 c Dry white wine
Cut Italian sausage into 2-inch lengths. Brown sausage off in olive oil (about half cook it), remove from pan and put aside, Add flour to oil that was used and make roux. Add onions, celery, and bell pepper. Stir and cook until tender or clear. Add water and stir until smooth. Add wine (you may wish to experiment with the amount of wine used, 2 cups is too much for some tastes), parsley, and garlic. Pour in red pepper, Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce, dried mint, and tomato sauce. Stir real well. Bring to a bubbly boil and add salt, to taste. Add sausage. Bring back to a boil. Turn heat down to simmer. Cook for about 3 or 4 hours. Serve over spaghetti topped with cheese. From Justin Wilson's "Outdoor Cooking With Indoor Help"

1 lb ground beef 80/20
1/2 lb sweet italian sausage
1/2 lb hot italian sausage
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup dry red wine
herbs de provence
red pepper flakes
salt/pepper/garlic/onion powder
2 pinches of sugar
fresh basil
2 tbsps tomato paste
1 package spaghetti
2 tbsps butter
parmesan cheese
fresh chopped parsley
Directions:
Begin by prepping your veggies. Heat large pot over medium heat and begin cooking your ground meat until no longer pink. Add in onion and pepper and sweat for 5 minutes. Season generously. Add garlic and incorporate. Next, add in tomato paste and mix to combine. Deglaze the pot with a bit of red wine or beef stock - bring to a simmer. Add in crushed and chopped tomatoes, along with tomato sauce. Add Worcestershire sauce and Mix to combine and begin seasoning to taste. Add sugar as needed to balance acidity. Add basil leaves and cover for 30-60 minutes on low - stirring occasionally. Cook pasta to package instructions, drain, and add 2 tbsps butter. (always salt pasta water). Add sauce to your noodles based on your preference and garnish with fresh parmesan and parsley.

This versatile Italian dish goes from stovetop to table in less than 30 minutes. Serve with a simple salad for a filling weeknight meal.
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 1 1/4 cups pasta, 2 tablespoons cheese, and 1 tablespoon basil)
Preparation
1. Preheat broiler.
2. Arrange sausage on a small baking sheet. Broil sausage 5 minutes on each side or until done. Remove pan from oven (do not turn broiler off). Cut sausage into 1/4-inch-thick slices. Arrange slices in a single layer on baking sheet. Broil sausage slices 2 minutes or until browned.
3. Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat; drain.
4. Place tomatoes in a food processor; process until almost smooth. Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add crushed red pepper and minced garlic; sauté 1 minute. Stir in tomatoes, sugar, and salt; cook 4 minutes or until slightly thick. Add sausage and cooked pasta to pan; toss well. Top with fresh basil and Parmigiano-Reggiano.

Italian Meat Sauce with Beef & Sausage
Here is my recipe for an easy Italian meat sauce. This meaty sauce is rich from all the ground sausage and is loaded with garlic. If garlic isn’t your thing you can always reduce the amount used. Either way, your whole house will smell like an Italian Trattoria … and that’s a good thing.
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 pound Italian Sausage
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, diced
5-7 cloves garlic, half thinly sliced and half minced.
1 28oz can crushed San Marzano tomatoes
12 oz can tomato paste
15 oz can tomato sauce
½ C White Wine
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried Oregano
1 tsp dried Rosemary
1 tsp dried Thyme
