How To make Lamb with Spinach
8 tb Vegetable oil
1/4 ts Black peppercorns
6 Whole cloves
2 Bay leaves
6 Cardamom pods
2 Medium onions finely chopped
6 Garlic cloves chopped
1 Inch cube of ginger chopped
2 lb Cubed lamb
2 ts Ground cumin seeds
1 ts Coriander seeds
1/4 ts Cayenne pepper
2 ts Salt
5 tb Plain yogurt well beaten
2 lb Fresh spinach chopped
1/4 ts Garam masala
Heat the oil in a large pot over a medium-high flame. When hot, put in the peppercorns, cloves, bay leaves, and cardamom pods. Stir for a second. Now put in the onions, garlic and ginger. Stir and fry until the onions develop brown specks. Now add the meat, ground cumin, ground coriander, cayenne pepper, and 1q/2 of the salt. Stir and fry for a minute. Add 1 tablespoon of the yogurt. Stir and fry for a minute. Keep doing this until all yogurt has been incorporated. The meat should also have a slightly browned look. Add the spinach and the remaining salt. Stir to mix. Keep stirring and cooking until the spinach wilts completely. Cover tightly and simmer on low heat for about 1 hour or until meat is tender. Remove the lid and add the garam masala. Turn the heat to medium. Stir and cook another 5 minutes until most of the water in the spinach disappears and you have a thick, green sauce. Remove the whole spices and serve.

1 kg lamb curry with bones
Spinach (2 packs)
2-3 tablespoons of canola oil
1 cinnamon stick
Black pepper
Salt
2 tablespoons veg stock powder
2 tablespoons tomato paste
3 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
1 tablespoon garlic & ginger paste
2 teaspoons coriander powder
2 teaspoons cumin powder
HOW MY FAMILY & I EAT THIS: I served this with rice, however, it is better accompanied by kisra or injera.

SPINACH FILLING:
1 medium onion
4 cloves of garlic
3 small jalapeno peppers
Handful of parsley
200g of spinach
Salt as needed
1 teaspoon of black pepper
200g of feta cheese
MEAT FILLING:
400g of minced lamb
1 teaspoon of black pepper
Salt as needed

Welcome to Chilli Chef.
This video is an easy to follow step by step guide to making a lovely tasty Lamb Saag (Lamb & Spinach) All the required ingredients can be purchased from your local supermarket or a local speciality Asian store.
Ingredients for this recipe;
1kg Diced Lamb (boneless)
600grams Baby Spinach
5 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
1/2 tin Chopped Tomatoes
2 large Onions
6 cloves Garlic
1 thumb Ginger
4 Indian Chillies
4 Bay Leaves
1 handful Coriander
1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
1 teaspoon Turmeric
1 teaspoon Dried Fenugreek leaves
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
1 teaspoon Garam Masala
Boneless Lamb can be replaced by lamb on the bone or mutton.
Baby Spinach can be replaced by normal spinach, normal spinach will take longer to cook than baby spinach.
This dish can be made without dried fenugreek leaves. If you are searching for this it is also referred to as Kasuri Methi.
Serves 4-6 People
