Spicy Grapefruit Margarita
My alcoholic beverages are far and few between these days BUT every once in a while I still do love me a spicy marg!!! ????️????This is an old recipe that I go back to over and over again. I like it because it’s made with just a little bit of fresh juice and has no added sugar.????????

Grapefruit Margarita
If we could describe a summer drink in two words, it would be fruity and sweet. But that doesn’t mean every cocktail has to be packed with sugar. Here’s a cocktail that’s as dry as your dad’s Christmas jokes.
Ingredients:
30mL tequila
30mL triple sec or Cointreau
30mL ruby red grapefruit juice
15mL freshly squeezed lime juice
30mL mineral water
Salt
Method:
1. Start with a Boston shaker glass, pour in 30mL grapefruit juice.
2. Pour in tequila and triple sec before stirring.
3. Stir and remove.
4. Rub piece of lime across rim of old fashioned glass and dip into salt.
5. Remove plate and place glass down.
6. Add ice and pour in cocktail using strainer.
7. Garnish with lime. Remember to drink responsibly. Please do not forward content to anyone under the legal purchase age. Any user comments which condone or promote irresponsible or dangerous drinking will be removed.

If you're into spicy cocktails, I suggest Royal Rose 3 Chili Simple Syrup instead of this homemade version (available at of course) to bring added heat. The Grapefruit and Chili Margarita fits all styles of celebration, not just national margarita day.
Grapefruit goes with tequila, spice goes with tequila... we're just
bringing them both together in the Grapefruit & Chilli Margarita recipe.
Grapefruit & Chilli Margarita
- 1 1/2 oz tequila
- 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 1/2 oz chilli simple syrup
- 1/4 oz fresh lime juice
Chilli Simple Syrup
- 8 oz demerara sugar
- 4 oz. water
- 1 sliced jalepano
Heat to make simple syrup, then add slices of pepper & simmer for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and steep 20 minutes. Strain and chill. Add vodka to keep stable.
