How To make Marzipan (Candies)
1 lb Almonds, shelled, blanched
1 lb Confectioners' sugar
1 ea Egg white, unbeaten
3 Or 4 Tbsp rosewater or
-orangewater Nothing expresses the German love of edible art more succintly than marzipan candies, which are shaped into piglets, cats, poodles, flowers, fruit and all sorts of other objects. They are delicious to eat, too. Carefully dry the shelled almonds, then grind to a powder in an electic blender, if you have one. Blend almonds, the sugar, the egg white and just enough rosewater or orangewater (available from pharmacies) to make a pliable stiff dough. Knead with fingers, then place on board dusted with confectioners' sugar and form into desired shapes, to resemble miniature apples, peaches, strawberries or, if you have an artist's touch, little pigs or birds. Tint with food coloring. Balls of marzipan may be rubbed in chocolate dots or colored sugar. If dough becomes too stiff, work in a little lemon juice, rosewater or orangewater, adding drop by drop. When candies are shaped, dry thoroughly in a cool, airy place for 24 hours, then wrap separately or place in a container (such as a little straw basket for fruit) and cover completely with Saran or other plastic wrap. Makes 2 pounds of candy. From: The Art of German Cooking, by Betty Wason Shared by: June Hoffman, 9/93

Recipe
Yield: Makes about 1 lb (450 g)
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
1 ¾ cups (200 g) ground almonds (almond meal)
1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar (caster sugar)
¼ cup (60 mL) honey
2 Tbsp (30 mL) water
1 tsp (5 mL) pure almond extract
Directions
1. Place the ground almonds into a food processor. Stir the sugar, honey and water in a small saucepot over high heat until it reaches a full boil and the sugar has completely dissolved. Pour this into the food processor while it’s running. Add the almond extract and blend until the marzipan comes together. While it’s still warm, shape this into a log and wrap in plastic wrap well. Leave at room temperature to cool and store well-wrapped until you are ready to use it.
Marzipan will keep, well-wrapped, for up to a month, or can be frozen up to 3 months.
CHOCOLATE DIPPED MARZIPAN
Yield: about 4 dozen pieces (depending on size of cut-out shapes)
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Set Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
½ recipe (225 g) homemade marzipan
1 ½ cups (270 g) dark or milk chocolate chips
icing sugar, for dusting when rolling
Directions
1. On a clean work surface, gently knead the marzipan to soften it, using a sprinkling of icing sugar as needed on the surface to keep the marzipan from sticking. Roll out the marzipan to about ¼ -inch (6 mm) thick and use a small cookie cutter (1 1/2–inches/40 mm is a nice portion) to cut out shapes. Place these on a parchment-lined baking tray.
2. Melt the chocolate in a metal bowl placed over a pot filled with an inch of barely simmering water, stirring gently until smooth. Remove the bowl from the heat and dip each marzipan piece into the chocolate half way and shake off excess chocolate before placing on the tray to set. Let the chocolate set (or chill for just 10 minutes) and then store in an airtight container.
The dipped marzipan will keep for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.

Christmas Marzipan |Easy Marzipan No Cook Eggless Recipe | Cashew Marzipan | Christmas Sweets/Kuswar
A fun recipe to make with your kids ❤️ and the best thing about it is no cooking required!
I absolutely loved making the christmas light bulbs ????
???? I also have a Chocolate marzipan recipe. Link has been mentioned below with the others.
Add water only if required. I never had to use any. The mixture does seem dry while kneading but gradually comes together as the cashew nuts releases its oils.
I've used gel pastes (Wilton/sugar flair) for the colours. Add colour acc to your preference. I've shown a light and dark version.
For the first tree I've used slightly bent scissors for the branches.
For the 2nd tree I used fine pearls also known as non-pareils. (Not sure why I typed the word dragees up there ????)
To store if not using immediately wrap the Marzipan in cling film (without colour) and keep it in the fridge. When ready to use bring it to room temp before using again.
This Marzipan can be made a couple of weeks in advance but personally I make, colour and shape it 5 days prior to Christmas eve and store it in a ventilated box at room temp(air tight box can make it sweaty) This recipe can also be used for molds.

What is the difference between Almond Paste and Marzipan?
Make your own almond paste recipe and never buy from the store again! It tastes better and can be made in 10 minutes flat. Almond paste is commonly used in pastries like frangipane tarts, bearclaws and tosconer squares while Marzipan is much sweeter and often used to make little candies.
