How To make Mom's Chili
1 lb Ground beef
2 lg Yellow onions,
-chopped 1 lb Kidney beans
1/2 lb Tomato paste
6 oz Water
3 Garlic cloves
-(or more, to taste) 1 Bay leaf
Ketchup (1 "glub") 1 T Chili powder
-(or more to taste) Brown the meat and onions, separately if desired. In a large, heavy pot, combine the meat and onions, and the other ingredients except the chili powder. Simmer at least one hour. Six or more hours is better. Stir in the chili powder. NOTES: * A mild, hearty chili -- This chili won't win any awards in Texas, but it's a nice, mild, flavorful dish. The recipe can easily be multiplied; I usually make a triple batch and freeze the excess. For a spicier chili, use more chili powder, or, even better, mix your own spices. Recreating my Mom's Chili Recipe that fed the 9 Children in her family.
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 lbs. Ground Beef
2 28 oz. Cans Cento Whole Peeled Tomatoes (crushed by hand)
2 15.5 oz Cans Kidney Beans
1 Med. to Large Onion Diced
1 Green Pepper Diced
1 6 oz. Can Tomato Paste
1-2 Cloves Garlic Minced
1 Heaping Tbsp. Ground Cumin
1 Heaping Tbsp Chili Powder
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Pepper

Recipe:
3 to 4 chicken breasts.
You can use oven roasted chicken ( shredded)
2 cans of Rotel ( undrained)
Small bag of frozen corn
2 Philadelphia cream cheese 8 oz each.
One to two cans black beans ( rinsed and drained.
1 tbsp. ranch powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
Cook on low in crockpot 6 to 7 hours
Serve on Tostitos chips or Corn fajitas or taco’s.
