Hi and Welcome. In this video I'm showing you how to make Neiman Marcus Cookies. Did you receive an email telling a story of a woman who went to Neiman Marcus for lunch, requested the recipe for these cookies and got way over charged!!?? Well, the story is probably untrue, but the cookies are great. And talk about a great cookie recipe for a cookie swap or bake sale! This recipe makes over 100 cookies! If you make them small enough you can get nearly 200! If you don't need that many, cut the recipe in half.
Here are the ingredients:
2 cups (4 sticks) butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
5 cups blended oatmeal( blend oatmeal in food processor or blender)
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 8 ounce chocolate bar (milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate), chopped
24 ounces (4 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 cups chopped nuts (in the video, I'm using 1 cup each walnuts, almonds and pecans)

Testing The Viral NEIMAN MARCUS $250 COOKIE
Who remembers this email that circulated about a woman charged $250 for a chocolate chip cookie recipe at Neiman Marcus? Is it a true story?
#neimanmarcus #chocolatechipcookie #testingrecipe
For the recipe referenced in today's video:
QUICK TIPS WE LEARNED AFTER TEST:
1. The cookie seemed a little dry, maybe cut back on the oatmeal powder as a suggestion.
2. The microplaned chocolate seemed cool but unnecessary unless you like seeing the extra specs. There is already a ton of chocolate chips.
3. If you don't want to get the extra grittiness from oatmeal flour/powder, make sure to pulverize extra fine.

Bake for 15-18 minutes, until browned around the edges. Cool the cookies on the baking tray.
