How To make Orange Waffles
1 T Active dry yeast
1 c Freshly squeezed orange
Juice, warmed (about 120 Degrees) 1/2 c Lowfat soy milk, at room
Temperature 1 T Oil
1 t Vanilla extract
1/8 t Orange oil or 1 Tablespoon
Grated orange rind 1/2 t Salt
2 1/4 c Whole wheat pastry flour
1 t Baking powder
This batter burns easily; so set your waffle iron on a low setting. If your waffle iron doesn't have a tempera-ture setting, peek to see if the waffles are done when the waffle maker opens easily. Orange oil, made from the natural oils in orange rind, can be found at gourmet stores. One mail order source is the King Arthur Flour Baker's Catalogue at (800) 827-6836. Dissolve yeast in warm orange juice and let sit for 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and stir well for several minutes. Let batter rest, covered, in a warm spot for 30 minutes. Heat waffle iron, pour in the appropriate amount of batter for your specific model, and spread to the edges of the waffle iron. Close and cook until gently browned. 1 cup quinoa [rinsed and strained]
Three Mandarin oranges
One ripe banana
1 cup milk
One egg
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon butter
1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
Method
Step 1. Measure one cup quinoa. Rinse with running water and strain it.
Heat up a pan on medium low. Add the strained quinoa to the pan and dry roast on medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes(stirring constantly). Using a spoon, start moving the quinoa around the pan until the quinoa grains start to brown, but make sure you don’t burn it.
Turn off the flame and let it cool down .
Grind or blend the quinoa at high speed until it turns into a fine powder.
Note: You can prepare a large quantity of quinoa flour and store in airtight containers.
1 cup quinoa yields about 1 ⅓ cup of fine quinoa flour.
Step 2. Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until nice and smooth.
Set aside for 10 minutes.
Step 3: preheat your waffle iron and brush with oil or butter. Spoon the batter into the waffle iron and cook until steam stops. [Cook according to the manufacturer's instructions or until crispy.]
You can add blueberries or chocolate chips on top.

Orange Waffles | Homemade Fruit Waffles | Breakfast Menu
Hi all ,
Today I am sharing an orange waffle recipe .
It’s easy and needs few basic ingredients.
So here is the complete recipe.
Orange waffle .
Ingredients
2 eggs
4tbsps sugar
1/3 rd cup melted butter or oil .
1 cup fresh milk + 1/4 th cup more if needed
1/2 cup fresh orange juice.
2 tsps vanilla essence .
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups all purpose flour .
1 tbsp baking powder .
1&1/2 tbsp cornflour .
Fruits for presentation.
1/4 Th cup powdered sugar for dusting over the waffles
Chocolate syrup .
Method
Break and add 2 eggs in a mixing bowl .
Add sugar for sweetness . I have added 4 tbsps of sugar , you can add more if you want it very sweet . I will be dusting the waffles with powdered sugar , so it will balance the sweetness .
Whisk eggs and sugar , till sugar dissolves .
Then add melted butter or oil . I would suggest Melted butter , as it gives a nice texture .
Whisk it well then add vanilla essence and 1 cup fresh milk .
Retain 1/4 th cup milk to add it later , after adjusting the consistency.
Thick batter gives a little dense waffles , and thin batter gives crispy waffles .
So add milk later to adjust the consistency of batter accordingly.
Sift the flour . Sift together all purpose flour , baking powder and cornflour . This is just to ensure even mixing of flour .
Add the sifted flour into the batter little at a time . Whisk it smooth without any lumps .
Add the flour in batches to mix it smoothly .
Once it’s done , add 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice and mix .
Check the consistency now , add milk if needed to dilute the batter .
Set and Heat a waffle machine .
Cooking time of waffles depends on the machines.
Make sure it’s super hot before you pour the waffles .
Add a scoop of batter depending on your machine capacity . And then cover and let cook . In my machine it took 8 minutes to cook , mai differ from machine to machine .
Increase the cooling time if you need a little darker colour on the waffles .
When it’s done , transfer into a plate .
Repeat the step for another set of waffles . Make sure it’s hot when you repeat pouring the waffles .
Do not pile up the waffles instead spread of over a cooling rack or a plate .
Serve it hot .
Add some fruits and cream for presentation.
And some chocolate syrup
You can also use maple syrup , honey .
I have used orange slices , grapes and peaches .
Hope you enjoyed this recipe .
Thanks for all your support .
