How To make Oriental Chicken Wontons
8 oz Ground raw chicken or pork
1/2 c Shredded carrot
1/4 c Finely chopped celery*
1 T Soy sauce
1 T Dry sherry
2 t Cornstarch
2 t Grated gingerroot
1/2 pk Wonton wrappers
2 T Margarine or butter; melted
Plum or sweet & sour sauce *Note: 1/4 cup finely chopped water chestnuts may be substituted for 1/4 cup chopped celery. For filling: In a medium skillet cook and stir ground chicken or pork till no pink remains; drain. Stir in carrot, celery or water chestnuts, soy sauce, sherry, cornstarch, and gingerroot; mix well. Spoon 1 rounded teaspoon of the filling atop a wonton wrapper. Lightly brush edges with water. To shape each wonton, carefully bring 2 opposite corners of the square wonton wrapper up over the filling and pinch together in the center. Carefully bring the 2 remaining opposite corners to the center and pinch together. Pinch together edges to seal. Place wontons on a greased baking sheet. Repeat with remaining filling and wonton wrappers. Brush wontons with melted margarine or butter. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes or till light brown and crisp. If desired, serve with plum or sweet-and-sour sauce. To make ahead: Bake appetizers as directed; cool completely. Transfer to a storage container. Cover tightly and freeze up to 1 month. To serve, place frozen wontons on a greased baking sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes or till wontons are light brown and crisp. 44 calories (52% from fat), 2 g fat, 6 mg colesterol, 2 g protein, 3 g

Chicken Wonton
Recipe in English:
Ingredients:
-Chicken boneless 250 gms
-Hara pyaz (Green onion) chopped 2 Cups
-Hari mirch (Green chilies) 7-8
-Shimla mirch (Capsicum) 1 medium
-Soy sauce 1 tbs
-Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ½ tsp
-Chicken cube ½
-Oil 1 tsp
-Namak (Salt) ¼ tsp or to taste
-Anda (Egg) beaten 1
-Wonton wraps
-Oil for frying
Directions:
-Pat dry chicken boneless cubes with kitchen tissue.
-In chopper,add chicken boneless cubes,green onion,green chilies,capsicum,soy sauce,black pepper powder,chicken cube,oil,salt and chop until well combined & set aside.
-Take wanton wrap,add 1 tbs mixture in the center,apply egg at the edges,fold in triangular shape & seal all sides.
-Apply egg on one side of triangle and overlap to form wonton shape (makes 25-30).
-In wok,heat oil and fry until golden brown.
-Can be stored up to one month in freezer.

-Wonton wrap ko center mein 1 tbs mixture rakh dein,edges mein anda laga lein,triangular shape mein fold ker lein & tamam sides ko seal ker lein.
-Triangle ka ek side per anda laga lein aur overlap ker ka wonton ki shape bana lein (makes 25-30).
-Karhai mein oil garam karein aur golden brown fry ker lein.
-Freezer mein 1 month tak store ker saktay han.

Ingredients
All purpose flour 1 Cup
Corn flour 1/2 Cup
Melted butter 2 Teaspoons
Salt To taste
Hot water 3/4 Cup
Minced chicken(paste) 1 Cup
Til seed oil 1 Teaspoons
Msg 1 Pinch
Cabbage(finely chopped) 1/2 Cup
Egg yolk(yellow) 2 Numbers
Soya sauce 1 Teaspoons
Hoisin sauce(optional) 1 Tablespoons
Coriander leaves 1 Bunch
Spring onions 1 Tablespoons
Carrot 1 Tablespoons
Green chillies 1 Teaspoons
Ginger 1 Teaspoons
Garlic 1 Teaspoons
Oil 0
Crushed pepper 1/2 Teaspoons
Wonton sheets(small) 4 Numbers
Directions:
1.Take all purpose flour in a bowl and add corn flour, melted butter, salt, hot water slowly and mix it into a dough.
2. For chicken stuffing take mince chicken in a bowl then add til seed oil, salt, msg, cabbage, egg yolk , soya sauce, hoising sauce, coriander leaves, spring onions, crushed pepper, carrot , green chillies, ginger, garlic and mix well.
3. Add water and mix again.
4. Take the wonton sheet and wet the edges with water then keep the mixture in between and fold it.
5. Seal it by pressing with fingers and attach both the edges by applying little water.
6. Repeat the process with every sheet and make the wontons. 7. Once all the wontons are made fry them in hot oil till golden brown.
8. Take them out on a tissue paper and serve hot with any kind of sauce

Ingredients
For the Wontons (Makes 34 to 36 wontons)
1/2 lb peeled and deveined shrimp, finely chopped
1/2 lb ground pork or ground chicken
1 tbsp shaoxing wine or dried sherry
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tsp grated garlic (approximately 3 cloves)
2 tsp grated ginger
2 to 3 green onions, finely chopped
1/4 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp black pepper
34 to 36 square wonton wrappers
For the Noodle Soup (Makes 2 servings)
4 large slices ginger
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 green onions
1 dried shiitake mushroom
5 cups chicken stock
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp fish sauce
2 to 4 heads bok choy or 4 oz of any veggies you like
