Sweet Tea is a True Southern Staple from Regular Sweet Tea to Strawberry Sweet Tea; so today I making Fresh Peach Sweet Iced Tea!
So delicious, refreshing, and full of Peach Flavor! The perfect drink on a hot Summer Day and great to serve at a Pool Party, BBQ Cookouts, and Fish Frys; this will definitely quench your Thirst!!!

Peach Syrup
3 large fresh yellow peaches, washed and cut into cubes or slices
2 cups white sugar
2 cups water
1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice, optional
For the Tea
8 small tea bags
3 cups water
5 cups cold water
Fresh mint leaves and diced or sliced peaches, for garnish
For the Peach Syrup: In a large pot over medium-low heat, add diced peaches, sugar, water, and lemon juice (if using); stir together and bring to a light simmer, cover the pot and simmer for 15-20 minutes until peaches are soft and the peach skins has lost it’s dark color. Then mash the peaches using a potato masher to release more of the peach juice then cover again and continue simmering for an additional 10 minutes. Pour and strain the peach pulp into a measuring cup using a mesh strainer or colander and discard the solids (It’ll make 3- 3 1/2 cups of the peach syrup) and set aside.
For the Tea: Boil 3 cups of water in the microwave or stove top. Add the tea bags and let them steep for 10-15 minutes; discard the tea bags.
In a large pitcher, add the tea, peach syrup and 5 cups cold water; stir until well combined. (Taste for more sugar, if it’s too sweet you can add more water). Let the peach tea chill in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
Pour peach tea into mason jars or glasses filled with ice, garnish with diced or sliced peaches, mint leaves, straw, and enjoy!
