HOMEMADE PEACH LIQUEUR: Traditional aroma-boosting method
HOMEMADE PEACH LIQUEUR: Traditional aroma-boosting method
Homemade liqueur is one of the best methods of preserving aromas for delightful gatherings. A refined glass of PEACH LIQUEUR crowns family gatherings, feasts, celebrations, and holidays!
Traditionally, Turkish coffee is the best company along with fruit liqueurs. It is served cold in a small glass to treat your guests very hospitably.
Treat yourself and your guests with a glass of PEACH LIQUEUR, enjoy enriched fruit aroma and heavenly coffee taste together!
Ingredients
1 kg (~5-6) peaches
2 cups (~400 g) sugar
500 ml vodka
500 ml water
6-8 almonds
1 cinnamon stick
1 star anis (optional)
3-4 peach stones and leaves (optional)
Directions
PREPARATION
Syrup:
Place 2 cups of sugar and 500 ml of water in a pot. Boil the mixture for 5-7 minutes, then, set aside and cool down to room temperature.
Peaches:
Choose ripened yet still hard peaches. Thoroughly wash the peaches and drain excess water
Divide each peach into 4 slices and separate the stones
We will use a couple of peach stones and leaves for extra taste
ASSEMBLE
Sterilize a large sealable jar to prevent unwanted bacteria in the liqueur.
Place peach slices, almonds, spices, and 3-4 peach stones in the jar.
Pour the cooled syrup into the jar.
Add 500 ml of vodka into the mixture
(!) Make sure the jar has enough space for fermentation. So, leave 1/3 of the jar empty.
Seal the jar, store it in a cool and dark place for a minimum of 30-40 days.
FERMENTATION
Shake the jar once a day regularly for the first week!
A week later, once the fruits are submerged in the liquid, you can shake the jar once a week during the rest of the process.
Usually, longer fermentation time gives better aroma to the liqueur. However, peaches decay easily. So, I recommend, placing the jar in the fridge if you prefer more than 30 days of fermentation time.
FILTERING & CLARIFYING
30-40 days later, strain the liqueur 2-3 times by using a fine sieve and a few layers of cheese cloth. You can use left-over peach slices for your smoothies or fruit tarts to enhance their taste.
Store the liqueur in the fridge for a couple of days before serving for a mature aroma and transparency.

Original Cocktail: Peach Cobbler
The Peach Cobbler was actually a collaboration between myself and the General Manager of Cole's Bryan Tetorakis. Bryan came to us by way of some bars in DC and Polite Provisions in San Diego. This drink was inspired by the heat we're experiencing here in LA and also a discussion on whether or not we could get a cocktail to taste like the Peach Cobbler Pie we make at Cole's. The result was this refreshing and crushable cocktail which turns out to be so versatile it goes well with a few other spirit bases (ahem..Rum and Brandy). Truth be told we were still tinkering with the recipe when I made this video so I'll write the Updated specs below. I added a few dashes of Angostura bitters on top and .25oz (7.5ml) House made Vanilla Extract. Recipe is below so check it out! Either way whether you make this version or the updated one this cocktail kills and I'm really proud of it. You will also find it on the specials cocktail menu at Cole's until the seasons change. So make it at home or come on by and have one with me.

How to Make PEACH LIQUEUR - 4K UHD
This delicious PEACH LIQUEUR recipe can be enjoyed by itself or play a starring role in a Peach Bellini or Fuzzy Navel cocktail. If you’re counting carbs, you can make a lower carb version using our “skinny” recipe for KETO SIMPLE SYRUP ( All the flavor without the guilt! This PEACH LIQUEUR recipe combines vodka and brandy, but you can substitute rum and/or whiskey, depending on your preference. Whatever you choose, this liqueur has a warm and satisfying taste that you will enjoy!
INGREDIENTS
• 1 kg (2 ¼ lb) fresh peaches, washed and sliced***
• Zest from 1 lemon
• Zest from ½ orange
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 480 ml (2 cups) vodka (100 proof is preferred)
• 240 ml (1 cup) brandy
• 240 ml (1 cup) simple syrup ( or keto simple syrup (
*Since peaches are naturally sweet, if you prefer less added sweetness, reduce the simple syrup to 120 ml (1/2 cup). For a sweeter liqueur, increase the simple syrup to 360 ml (1.5 cups).
DIRECTIONS
1. Add sliced, unpeeled peaches to a resealable jar. ***CAUTION: If adding pits to the mixture (optional), they should not be crushed and must be completely filtered out when straining the mixture. Pits from some fresh fruits (such as cherries, plums, peaches, nectarines and apricots) contain trace amounts cyanide compounds, which are poisonous. The pits should not be consumed.
2. Add lemon zest, orange zest and cinnamon stick.
3. Pour in vodka and brandy (or substitute with the alcohol of your choice). Stir, then seal jar. Shake vigorously to infuse flavors.
4. Store jar in a cool, dark location such as a cupboard for 14-28 days.** Shake daily.
5. After steeping for the desired number of days, pour and strain liquid into a large bowl, then strain again into a pitcher.
6. Add the simple syrup (or keto simple syrup) and stir to blend.
7. Pour and strain the liqueur into a swing top glass bottle or any resealable container.
**Although the liqueur is ready to drink after steeping for 14 days, steeping for up to 28 days will allow a more intense peach flavor to develop.
