How To make Pear and Hazelnut Bread Abm
BEST brEAD MACHINE CB EVER:
1 1/2 lg Pears
3 tb Oil
1/2 tb Yeast
2 c Bread flour
1 1/8 c Rye flour
3 tb Wheat germ
3 tb Sugar
1/2 tb Salt
1/2 tb Fennel seeds
3 tb Hazelnuts, chopped
1/2 c Water; warm
Bring all ingredients to room temperature and pour into bakery, in order. Set "baking control" at 10 o'clock. Select "white bread" and push Start. In hot & humid weather, use 1/8 c less water. Ripe, actually overripe, pears make the sweetest, moistest bread. This subtly flavored loaf does fine on its own and makes excellent plain, cinnamon, or French toast. Or place a thin slice of cold cooked lamb on it and briefly warm in the broiler. Tested in DAK R2D2. Poached pear cake
Serves: 8 / Preparation time: 80 minutes/ Difficulty: 2 of 5
Ingredients:
● 3 pears
● 1 l Earl Grey tea
● 100 g butter
● 145 g brown sugar
● 2 large eggs
● 1 tsp vanilla extract
● 70 g sour cream
● 120 ml milk
● 160 g flour
● ½ tsp baking soda
● ½ tsp salt
● 40 g dark cocoa powder
Instructions:
1. Add 3 peeled pears into 1 l Earl Grey tea.
2. Poach the pears for 20 minutes at medium heat.
3. Add 100 g softened butter in a mixing bowl.
4. Add 145 g brown sugar.
5. Beat until light and fluffy.
6. Add 2 eggs, one at a time.
7. Add 1 tsp vanilla extract.
8. Whisk together 70 g sour cream and 120 ml milk.
9. Add sour cream mixture into a mixing bowl.
10. While mixing add 160 g flour.
11. Add ½ tsp baking soda and ½ tsp salt.
12. Add 40 g cocoa powder.
13. Mix until batter is just combined.
14. Grease loaf pan with butter and line it with baking paper.
15. Spoon ⅓ of batter into pan.
16. Place cooled poached pears into the pan.
17. Pour in the remaining batter.
18. Bake the cake for 45-50 minutes.
19. Cool before serving.
