Penne With Tomato Sauce Recipe by Tasty
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups penne pasta about 8 oz
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small chopped yellow onion about 1/2 cups
2 cloves garlic minced
1 1/2 cups canned crushed tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon chili flakes or to taste
salt to taste
Preparation
Heat a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the olive oil and onion, and cook until the onion is translucent, 8-10 minutes.
Add the chile flakes and garlic, and cook for another 2 minutes, until fragrant. Stir in tomatoes and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Save ½ cup (120 ml) of pasta water, then drain.
Add the drained pasta to the sauce. Stir well, adding a little pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce. Season with salt to taste.

Penne With Tomato Sauce Recipe INSTRUCTIONS
1- Melt the butter with olive oil in a medium skillet. Add the chopped onion, cook over medium heat until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 to 6 minutes.
2- Add the garlic and cook stirring for 15 more seconds. Then pour in the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer – season to taste with chili flakes and salt. Simmer for 15 minutes.
3- Meanwhile, bring a medium pan of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne until al dente about 10 to 11 minutes, or according to package instructions. Drain the pasta and save 1/4 cups of cooking liquid.
4- Add the pasta along with the cooking liquid to the tomato sauce stir well to coat and cook together for 1 more minute to merge the flavors.
Adjust the seasoning to taste and serve right away.
Easy Penne Pasta with Tomato Sauce
For me, there are very few meals more comforting than good old pasta with thick and flavorful tomato sauce. This dish seems very basic; it actually is. It consists of only six ingredients: olive oil, butter, onion, garlic, crushed tomatoes, and a handful of excellent Italian penne (I don’t count salt and chili flakes). The secret is to use the best ingredients you can find and cook pasta to a perfect al-dente. Yes, as easy as that. If you’re looking for a quick-fix meal for dinner, this pasta is ore than simply perfect. It will take you under 30 minutes to make, but the flavor and texture are incredibly satisfying.
Penne With Tomato Sauce Recipe
The love for this pasta comes from my childhood when my mom would make it for me after her a long and restless day at work. She was never shy of using garlic in this one. Since then, I’m absolutely in love with the smell of freshly crushed garlic sizzling in hot oil. In summer, she would use fresh tomatoes from our garden, and in winter, we would open a can of our homemade crushed tomatoes vividly red as a communist’s flag of a country that doesn’t exist anymore. I haven’t had this pasta in more than two decades, and I can’t describe to you how much joy it brought to me (hello nostalgia). I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do. Introduction
Chicken Pasta with Indian Style Pasta Sauce! This combines chicken and penne pasta with tomatoes and it is yummy! In this recipe, the chicken is stir-fried in a very special onion and tomato masala sauce. This dish can be served for dinner or as an evening snack, by itself, or if you prefer it, alongside garlic bread. It makes for a great hearty weeknight dinner with your family. Onion Tomato Spice-Mix/Sauce
3-4 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 cup Onions (chopped)
Salt (as required)
1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic & Green Chilli Paste
1/2 cup Tomato Pulp
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
**The Spice-Mix can be stored in the refrigerator for 30 days.
Boiling the Pasta
1 ltr Water
1 tsp Salt
1 cup Penne Pasta
Preparing the Pasta
200 gms Chicken Breast (cut into batons)
1 tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves
1/4 cup Pasta Water
2 tbsp Fresh Cream
1/4 tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves

(4-5 servings)
Ingredients
-3 glasses penne paste (uncooked)
-11/2 glasses Nutrela Soya granules
To make sauce
-379g (American garden)Pasta sauce
-200g readymade tomato purée or fresh 6 tomato boiled +5 garlic puréed,strained
-10 garlic grated
-1 pkt Mushrooms cut into half
-2 tbsp tomato paste
-1/2 tsp black pepper crushed
-1 tsp mixed Italian herbs
-1/2 tsp chili flakes
-1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
-salt to taste
-4-5 basil leaves
-4 tbsp Parmesan cheese
-4-5 tbsp olive oil
-2 tbsp fresh cream
(Step 1)
-Cook pasta as per instructions,
al dente, which means it's still a little firm in the Center
(Reserve 1/2 cup cooked water) and set aside
-Cook Soya granules as per instructions, (11/2 cup soya granules 4 cups of water, salt to taste, once it is cooked (1 whistle) remove from the flame, rinse well in cold water 2-3 times & squeeze dry for further use)
(Step 2)
Let’s make paste sauce
-Heat oil in a wide pan over medium flame add grated/chopped garlic along with chili flakes stir for 2min,
-Add American Garden pasta sauce, (I used) fresh tomato purée, or tomato paste, dry ingredients black pepper, Italian herbs.
-dash sugar & salt Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, Basel leaves
Let it simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce to thicken
-Now add mushrooms, and cooked Nutella soya granules
-Mix well add cooked pasta toss wel-turns off the flame add fresh cream mix well
-Serve hot with garlic bread, garnish extra Parmesan cheese & relish this delicious pasta
-Bon appetite!!!
